Pro Sports Daily:
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard may be happy in his current surroundings, but he said Thursday that he had hoped of being traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Howard, who was sent from the Orlando Magic to the Lakers in the offseason, told ESPN NewYork 98.7 FM: "I did want to go to Brooklyn. That's a place where I told the Magic that I really wanted to go."[But] I was traded to the Lakers, and I think it was a blessing in disguise." Howard's final season with the Magic was stressful. The star center requested a trade to the Nets at the beginning of the year, but nothing materialized. Trade talks between Brooklyn and Orlando picked up in the offseason, when Nets GM Billy King offered Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks, Kris Humphries and four first-round picks for Howard. When that fell through, the Nets gave up, and Howard eventually landed with the Lakers in a complicated four-team blockbuster. " … I think there's a reason why everything happened th...

Dwight Howard just made his Lakers debut much to the delight of the fans at Staples Center and (who I believe to be) revered Lakers public address announcer Lawrence Tanter. Watch as during the pregame introductions, Tanter attempts to give Howard a fist bump. Howard, to nobody's surprise, leaves Tanter hanging. Badly. The Lakers announcer tries his best to recover with...
According to David McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles, Dwight Howard just recently had his first alcoholic drink. This happened shortly after he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Orlando Magic. Apparently, Howard and his friends took a celebratory shot of Ciroc Vodka when the trade became official.
For those who are wondering, Dwight Howard was born on December 8th in...
BECOMING A HABIT
Tweet Last Sunday in Dwight Howard’s Lakers preseason debut he was a victim of a monster put back slam by Sacramento Kings rookie Thomas Robinson. Thursday night D. Howard again got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, this time by Jason Thompson: Dwight better shake off that court rust sooner rather than later. Being on [...]
There are few feelings worse than getting left hanging on a fist bump and Los Angeles Lakers public address announcer Lawrence Tanter felt that sting back on Wednesday night.Tanter was attempting to get a high-five from newly-acquired center Dwight Howard but was left standing at the alter:
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard left public address announcer Lawrence Tanter hanging on an attempted fist bump before Tuesday night's NBA preseason game at the Staples Center. Popout To be fair, Howard appeared to be looking into the crowd and likely didn't see Tanter offering the fist pump, but it certainly made for an awkward moment. Hopefully, Howard can...
Dwight Howard believes being traded to the Lakers instead of the Nets "was a blessing in disguise."
Shaq will keep coming at Dwight Howard as long as their is an audience to be entertained by it. That’s his thing. His latest Dwight snipe, Shaq heads back to the mic for a rap freestyle diss of the newest Laker center. Warning, there’s profanity and language not appropriate for work. Dwight shouldn’t feel [...]
Dwight Howard’s reign on top of the defensive food chain came to a screeching halt last season after dropping what would have been his forth consecutive time claiming top honors as the NBA’s premiere defender to Tyson Chandler in the midst of back surgery and the on-going Dwightmare in Orlando.
Howard received just 18 first place votes for 186 points, while Tyson Chandler nabbed...

It hasn't really started up yet, but a question that is going to come up every now and then is whether Dwight Howard is going to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. He's played in one preseason game so far and looked pretty sharp for not having played basketball for six months. Assuming he's healthy, most fans and basketball writers will assume the Lakers are going...
