Lakers made the best offer for Gasol

Many different stories are circulating about the Laker Grizzly Pau Gasol trade. Chicago was up in arms for supposedly Gasol was ticketed for the Windy City; however, John Paxson never made an offer even close to what the Lakers offered. In fact, the Bulls did a much better job of spreading rumors then actually making offers. I think Paxson expects people to call up and offer All Stars like Gasol for players like Thabo Sefolosha and Tyrus Thomas and I don't get what he's thinking.
