Trade 1: Micheal Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers for two No. 1′s Let’s just be real… Kobe Bryant has two years where he can contribute anything at all to a winning basketball team, this being one of them. The West is far too competitive for the Timberwolves as currently constituted to even make it to the playoffs, much less make a run. This trade makes both teams better for what they should be trying to do. The Lakers have absolutely nothing at the 3, as evidenced by the fact that Metta World Peace plays in games where the decision is in doubt. News flash, it isn’t 2005. While point guard is maybe a more significant issue, adding Beasley ability to light up the bucket, this makes the Lakers more dangerous. ...
