Los Angeles Lakers
Let’s assume Vegas odd makers are never wrong and they always correctly pick the favorites to be in the NBA Finals. That will mean the 2013 NBA Finals will pit Kobe Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers against LeBron James and his Miami Heat.
If this happens, no NBA Finals will ever match such hype, excitement, and star power. You’d have to go back to the 1980s when Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers played Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics.
A 2013 NBA Finals will have a combined 60+ all-star appearances, four Finals MVPs, six season MVPs, and six future hall-of-famers if the Lakers meet the Heat.
Let’s go through the matchups position by position.
Steve Nash (LAL) vs. Mario Chalmers (MIA)
This may look like an easy choice, but remember that Nash is getting old and he is a liability on defense. Chalmers has the foot speed, but he doesn’t dictate the offense and doesn’t have the basketball IQ that Nash has. Nash is a better offensive player and I do not believe that Chalmers has t...

ONTARIO, CA -- Just a day after deflecting retirement rumors, Kobe Bryant had something much more immediate to deal with Wednesday -- a sore shoulder.
An hour and a half prior to the Lakers' 93-75 exhibition game loss to the Portland Trailblazers, there was Bryant, sitting in the home locker room at Citizen's Business Bank Arena with a contraption looking much like a vacuum...

The superstar guard for the Los Angeles Lakers indicated that his retirement will likely coincide with the end of his current contract, and that contract expires after the 2013-2014 season. He did not say for certain that he would retire, but he made it all but clear that it would be very unlikely...
Metta World Peace, the guy formerly known as Ron Artest, Says some off the wall things at times.
I’m starting to think he has a fondness for his new point guard Steve Nash based off some of those type of comments.
Last week Metta jokingly tweeted that Nash is the smartest Laker because he is white.
Now World Peace has a new complimentary idea for Nash.
Nash has earned the reputation...

"There's really nothing else to say," Bryant said with a smirk. "I said what...
Back on Friday, we featured a story about Kobe Bryant ripping into members of the 2005-2006 Los Angeles Lakers including point guard Smush Parker who he called, "the worst ever".As you may figure, Parker became a hot topic and joined the folks over at the Hard 2 Guard radio to discuss Kobe's comments:“I’m lost for words. PHOENIX Even without Steve Nash, the Phoenix Suns were able to generate enough offense to supply free tacos.
