When the topic of great players in this generation comes up, you can run off about 14 or 15 names in my opinion. From Iverson, Wade, Nowitzki, LeBron, Kobe, Pierce, Duncan, Carmelo, Chris Paul, to Kevin Durant, figuring out who might be the best can be debated for hours.
LeBron James and Tim Duncan will match up in the NBA Finals for the second time in six years. The respect level between the two is amazing, and during his media session for the finals, James called Duncan “the most consistent, most dominant player of the last 15 years,” according to CBSSports.com.
“Probably one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball,” he said of Duncan. “If I just look at the last 15 years, he’s probably been the most consistent, most dominant player that we’ve had as far as 15 years all together. He’s won four titles, multiple All Stars, MVP, and so on and so on.
“I think He doesn’t get a lot of recognition because he’s not flashy like a lot of guys are. He’s not jumping over people and high flying and doing the things that attracts people to the game. But I think true basketball, true IQ people, players know how great he is. What else can you say?”
Good job LeBron, way to speed Kobe’s recovery up by a month.

Check out Jim Ice’s Vine post of LeBron James throwing up a half court shot like it’s a perimeter jumper during the Heat’s Saturday practice at American Airlines Arena. With four NBA Most Valuable Player awards under his belt, seemingly countless endorsement deals and an unofficial tag as the best basketball player on the planet, it seems almost ridiculous that LeBron James has never been honored as the cover athlete of a video game.
Until now, that is. 2K Sports announced Thursday prior to Game 1 of the NBA Finals that the Miami Heat star will...
LeBron James is ready to rumble when the NBA Finals kick off Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs. James posted these photos to his website of him boxing with his trainer with the following message.
If it was easy, everyone would have a ring. How hard would you work and how much would you give to achieve your goal? While most people were at home eating a late dinner in front...
I think LeBron was trying to give the perfect motivational quote and it came out wrong.
“I have something in me that they took in ’07; beat us on our home floor, celebrated on our home floor,” James said. “I won’t forget that. You shouldn’t as a competitor. You should never forget that.
“If you go into my pick-and-roll now, I’m going to shoot. And I’m confident...
With last night’s 99-76 loss to the Heat, the Indiana Pacers season officially ended.
After watching the series, it was clear to me that the current Indiana Pacers team just isn’t good enough to win a NBA Championship.
The roster is good enough to be one of the better teams in the league, but it is not a championship quality roster, and the Heat proved that in Game 7 by exposing...
LeBron James kicks off his fourth NBA Finals appearance tonight in Miami against the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs swept LeBron in his first NBA Finals appearance in 2007 while he was still a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thus the NBA has its story lines and LeBron gets pounded with questions about the Spurs and their Big Three.
In a pre-Finals media interview with reporters...
LeBron James had six points, four rebounds and two assists to help the Miami Heat take a 24-23 lead over the San Antonio Spurs after one quarter in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
Chris Bosh added five points, and Ray Allen drilled a 3-pointer from the wing for the Heat, who are looking for their second straight championship.
Tony Parker had six points, and Danny Green...
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul spent Thursday afternoon golfing with Bill Clinton, and he apparently made a very positive impression on the former President with his charity work.
Great afternoon getting to know @cp3 and the good work he's doing through his foundation. twitter.com/billclinton/st…— Bill Clinton (@billclinton) June 7, 2013
Tiger Woods is back on top of Forbes' list of highest-paid athletes.
The star golfer spent 11 straight years at No. 1 on the magazine's list before falling to third in 2012. The magazine put him back in the top spot after he made 78.1 million over the last year from prize money, endorsements, appearance fees and golf course design work. Woods has enjoyed a resurgence in his...
It was 2007. Tim Duncan's Spurs had just swept LeBron James' Cavs away to win his fourth title. In the hallway afterwards, the two shared a moment.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul hit the links with one of the country's most esteemed political figures on Thursday.Seen here is the perennial All-Star standing beside the 42nd president of the United States: Bill Clinton. The two were flanked on the sides by former pros Amy Alcott and Jon Davidson.Perhaps the most notable observation about this picture is the fact that...
Chris Paul and Dwight Howard coming to Atlanta? If you listen to the Hawks' sales department they are.
So let's not make too big of a deal about this Atlanta Hawks "tampering" fiasco. Yes, it's bad...but it's not going to tear down the franchise.
It was a stupid mistake by some sales & marketing whiz (a "single ticket rep with no...

LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals vs. the San Antonio Spurs seems like forever ago. That was back when LeBron was innocent and unadulterated. I actually think this will be a great NBA Finals. Obviously, the NBA would have wished for a bigger market team to play the Heat, but it’ll be a great series.
The San Antonio Spurs will face off against the Miami Heat tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. This will be the first time the Spurs make the Finals without homecourt advantage against the best team in the East, the Miami Heat.
The Spurs will have their work cut out for them in the final series to determine the NBA champion and there will be three factors that will determine...
