LeBron James appears more frustrated than ever with the Cavs. David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

If LeBron James is going to stick with the Cleveland Cavaliers, plenty needs to be done. But his recent comments aren’t encouraging.

Last night, after barely holding on against the Orlando Magic, the Cavs would hit rock bottom. When the dust settled, the score read 148-124—in a loss to the Thunder. In regulation. And LeBron knows just how bad things are at the moment.

Playoffs? We can’t even start thinking about that, not the way we’re playing right now. We could easily get bounced early in the playoffs if they started next weekend. Haven’t even began thinking about the postseason.

And while some may dismiss this attitude entirely, LeBron has a point. After all, the Cavs are closer to eighth (4 games) than they are to first (6.5) games. Additionally, they have lost 9 of their last 12. But it’s not just that they are losing, it’s how they are losing. Blowouts are becoming a common thing. The Timberwolves, Raptors and now Thunder can all vouch for that. Plus LeBron and Co. almost just blew a 20-plus point lead to the Magic—arguably the worst team in basketball right now.

There are too many issues to address in Cleveland right now. Of course, LeBron himself isn’t one of them. In fact, he’s enjoying arguably his best season of the past 3-4 years. But it’s not enough. And there is no simple solution. It’s all very clear right now.

The Cavaliers are in a lot of trouble.
