Pass The Pill:
LeBron James basically called out Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce
LeBron James has gone through it all. We all remember the infamous “Decision” and how that led to a year of vitriol from fans everywhere. James was called just about every name in the book. Point is, ‘Bron knows what it is like to be branded a traitor. Fast forward to James entering his fourth year in South Beach and things have settled down ten-fold for King James. So when his second year teammate Ray Allen was experiencing the same thing during last year’s run, James had Allen’s back.
Now James has decided to take some shots back at his former rivals. The Boston Celtics click has slowly declined and thus have been broken up over the last few years. But the Celtics, in particular Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo, were upset with Ray Allen’s decision to go to Miami last year. KG even gave him the cold shoulder when Allen tried to give him some love. So ‘Bron decided to call out the former Celtics over their hypocrisy.
Via ESPN/Miami Index:
“I think the first thing I thought was, ‘Wow, Ray got killed for leaving Boston, and now these guys are leaving Boston,’” James said. “I think it’s OK; I didn’t mind it. But there were a couple guys who basically [expletive] on Ray for leaving, and now they’re leaving.
“That’s the nature of our business, man. I don’t know what Boston was going through at the end of the day. I know Ray had to make the best decision for him and his family and his career. Doc, KG and Paul did that as well. You can’t criticize someone who does something that’s best for their family.”
James’ teammate Dwyane Wade, followed up with his thoughts on the situation. Although Wade didn’t call them out as much as James did, there was some passive aggressiveness to Wade’s comments as well.
“We all know the world, how it works,” Wade said. “The biggest thing is Ray is happy [in Miami]. If they’re happy in Brooklyn, then let them be happy.
“People say things about people when they do something when they themselves would do the same thing. It’s about putting yourself in the best situation, and at the end of the day, we all do that. You can’t really say anything about someone that does it for themselves.”

I wouldn’t expect LeBron to ever play in an NFL game.
First of all, a team won’t sign him for one game and he wouldn’t...
As noted in the previous post, Miami Heat star LeBron James decided to have a rather epic dunkfest against the Washington Wizards.
With less than five minutes to play in the second quarter, LeBron threw down two nasty back-to-back jams which included a fastbreak double-pump jam and a nasty one-handed alley-oop dunk from Chris Bosh:

He hears you talking.

The Miami Heat are visiting the Washington Wizards for some NBA Preseason action tonight, as I’m sure that our nation’s fine elected politicians needed a break from arguing over whose fault this shutdown is, and there’s no better distraction than LeBron James. The self-anointed King/Chosen One shouldn’t even be playing more than a split second’s time in...
LeBron James is loving life right now, and in a really comfortable spot as a player.
Is James really that comfortable with his standing in the NBA?
Well if he goes ahead with his plan to honor Dr. J, we will all find out how comfortable in the public eye. During his much publicized interview with Chris Broussard, James once again paid homage to the great Julius Irving.
LeBron James and the Miami Heat are in midseason form already. Check out these back to back slams by LeBron in this week’s NBA pre-season game versus the Wizards.

Second-year shooting guard Bradley Beal torched the Miami Heat on Tuesday night with 29 points (in 31 minutes, no less) in a 100-82 victory for the Washington Wizards. But it was LeBron James who stole the show in the second quarter, throwing down back-to-back powerful fast break dunks that prove he’s ready for the season to begin.

Ric Bucher has a new gig at the Bleacher Report, and what better way to reintroduce yourself to the masses than by getting the LeBron stans riled up on a Thursday afternoon.
Bucher has taken a hit for this statement before, and once again reaffirmed it on Tuesday when he took to Twitter to proclaim that he’d take Derrick Rose as a player over LeBron James.
Bucher was nice enough...
If LeBron James wants to rope himself into the back-and-forth (or, for that matter, the silent treatment) that has accompanied the breakup of the Celtics’ Big Three, that’s just fine — Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will take shots at him as well.
Garnett and Pierce had brief but pointed words for the Heat star this week after James accused the two of getting a break when they...
We all know how intense Kevin Garnett can be. LeBron James went on record to essentially call Garnett and teammate Paul Pierce hypocrites for the way they treated Ray Allen after leaving the Boston Celtics to join the Miami Heat last season last season. Garnett and Pierce, along with Doc Rivers and other Celtics’ players were quick to pass judgement on their former teammate (Allen...
Perception, is an extremely powerful thing.
There are some people who say it comes very close to reality in terms of importance, but one thing I will say is what people think is true is generally what they choose to believe. Even if it may not necessarily be the case.
That’s kind of how I feel about the anonymous player poll done by ESPN The Magazine, in which they asked current...

Andrew Wiggins is yet to take to the court for the first time at Kansas, but he is largely projected as the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. A draft many (but not all) Celtics fans hope to see Boston selecting very low in.
It is beginning to be reported that Wiggins may command a record breaking type of shoe deal when he does decide to turn pro:
Wow. Report that Andrew...
