LeBron James is the best basketball player in the world, but that doesn’t necessarily prove that his team is the greatest, too.
The Miami Heat haven’t sewn up their title defense quite yet, despite holding a commanding series lead against Nate Robinson and the Chicago Bulls. The Heat’s next test will be a tougher one, and one that should provide many more interesting storylines than those appearing in the team’s current matchup.
Who Miami plays in the next round (assuming they advance past Chicago) is still up for grabs, and either way, basketball fans should be looking forward to what’s in store. While seeing Carmelo Anthony face off against LeBron would certainly be an intriguing matchup, the Heat could end up having a much tougher time against the Pacers.

LeBron James has often worn a padded sleeve on his right elbow since he first suffered an injury during the 2010 NBA playoffs.
James received an MRI on the elbow, but never discussed the extent of the injury.
James shot 11-for-35 over the final two games of the Cleveland Cavaliers' second round loss to the Boston Celtics, his final games with the franchise.

LeBron James is the second highest earner amongst professional athletes in the United States in 2013, finishing behind Floyd Mayweather.
James is projected to earn $56.5 million with $39 million in endorsements.
James is the first team-sport player in the top two on the list since Shaquille O’Neal in 2004.
LeBron James’ tendency to act on the court during situations of contact was heavily debated over the past week.
James was shoved by Bulls backup center Nazr Mohammed during Game 3 of the Miami Heat-Chicago series and seemed to sell how forcefully he was pushed. Nate Robinson and Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said they felt James flopped on the play. After being scrutinized, James responded...
If you looked at the 2011-12 and 2012-13 NBA seasons in a vacuum, you’d swear on your life that LeBron James was the greatest basketball player and leader the game has seen since the days of Michael Jordan and the Miami Heat the most formidable collection of talent since the dynastic teams of the 1970s [...]The post The Reorganization Of The Miami Heat’s Big 3 appeared first...
Andrew Wiggins is widely considered one of the best high school basketball players we have seen since LeBron James, so you can imagine there were plenty of anxious folks waiting to hear where he would be attending college. Andrew made his announcement on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. pst that he will be playing ball next year for Kansas University.
As soon as the announcement was made, Twitter...
After going down 3-1 and making nice-nice with Tyson Chandler, Carmelo Anthony stopped playing around in his interviews after Game 4 “We haven’t been effective on the offensive end. We’re not making shots. It is what it is.” Dap for stepping up like a man, but I really do feel like the word “Duh” should come after all his quotes lately.

LeBron James and Memphis guard Tony Allen headline the NBA All-Defensive First Team.
The league announced Monday that Allen received 53 points in the voting, while the Miami Heat star had 52. Each player had 25 first-team votes from the NBA's 30 head coaches.
''We pride ourselves on defense here,'' said James. ''I'm one of the catalysts, as far as...
Knicks guard J.R. Smith claims his poor play is the reason the team is down 3-1 in its series against the Pacers, saying, "I have to play more efficient ... It’s unacceptable."
What happened: The Miami Heat have taken a 3-1 lead over the Chicago Bulls with an 88-65 win Monday at Chicago in their Eastern Conference semifinal series.
The Bulls have run out of gas with injured players Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng having been out all series.
It seems unlikely that the Bulls have enough energy left to win another game in this series.
A lot of comparisons to LeBron James and that is a big burden to carry on your back.
We will see if Wiggins lives up to the hype.
Announcement at 12:09 pm that he will be going to Kansas with Bill Self and Kurtis Townsend.

In a bit of a surprise the number one basketball player in the country Andrew Wiggins is headed to Kansas to play his college basketball. Most experts thought Wiggins was headed to Florida State, where both of his parents went to school. The other two schools that were finalists for Wiggins were Kentucky and North Carolina.

Five-star phenom Andrew Wiggins committed to Kansas yesterday and has been called the most dominant high school player since LeBron James. The 6’7” superstar was on Syracuse’s radar last fall, but the Orange never even offered a scholarship to the Huntington Prep small forward. Why didn’t Jim Boeheim didn’t make a hard push at the nation’s top hoops recruit?

The most popular one and done player in Syracuse history dates back a decade to 2003 when Carmelo Anthony played a single season for the Orange, led them to the championship, and then left for the NBA Draft.
There are two rules that make a player eligible for the draft. The player must be at least 19 years old, he may not go directly from his senior year of high...

I've long said that any team that relies on Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith to lead them on offense is doomed. That seems like a pretty obvious, common sense statement, but the Knicks apparently didn't get the memo. And Tyson Chandler has had enough of the insanity. He's come out criticizing the team's selfish, individualistic...
