LeBron James and the Miami Heat were afforded the opportunity to take a nice, relaxing day off on Tuesday, and it appears that King James utilized the time by perhaps running some errands…errands interspersed with psychotic and murderous mayhem! (ch ch ch ah ah ah) Nah, but LeBron did strap on an old-school goalie mask in a nod the one slasher killer extraordinaire Jason Voorhees donned in the classic Friday the 13th horror series. Well, beginning with Part III, actually. In Part II, he wore a sack on his head and he was just a boy in the water of Crystal Lake in Part I, but all the movies including and after Part III. Actually, in Part V, Jason was technically dead and the murderer was an imposter, but in Part VI, he was resurrected by mistake by Tommy Jarvis. And then things got all weird and Jason took Manhattan with the Muppets and was blasted off into space and fought Freddy Krueger and all other kinds of nonsense. But the first six installments were bona fide classics. Anyhoo, on Tuesday, LeBron James uploaded the above photo with the message, “Riding around masked up! Hahaha. S/O Jason Voorhees,” which is pretty cool and a nice shout out to a classic movie villain, but I must admit that wearing a Jason Voorhees hockey mask might not be the best idea while driving. The lack of peripheral vision could truly be a hamper to safe and responsible driving. What would Progressive Flo think and would doing this affect his Snapshot Discoutn? Actually, who cares what Flo thinks. She would have made a great victim for Jason, right? Just get rid of her. And to be fair to King James, we don’t even know if LeBron was actually driving when he was wearing the mask. Frankly, it could have been worse and LeBron could have been committing an even more irresponsible act: Like eating a bowl of cereal while driving.
