LeBron James had no response for Lance Stephenson when the media asked him about the choking gesture given by the Pacers guard during Game 3 of the Miami-Indiana playoff series. James said he didn’t know he was mocked by Stephenson after he missed a technical foul free throw in the third quarter on Thursday. Asked for a response, LeBron was dismissive of Stephenson. “Lance Stephenson? You want a quote about Lance Stephenson?” James said after practice on Saturday. “I’m not even going to give him the time. Knock it off.” Stephenson apologized for his actions. “I was wrong and disrespectful to my teammates, the Miami Heat and their organization,” he said. “I’m sorry that I did that. It was very disrespectful. I’ll never do it again.” First off, Stephenson probably only apologized for public relations purposes. What he did in the heat of competition wasn’t exactly the worst thing. Players respond in one of two ways when that happens: They either go Reggie Miller, or they continue to ch

LeBron's amazing no-look assist to D-Wade

Check out how well LeBron James and Dwyane Wade can play together when things are clicking. That’s some Magic Johnson no look stuff right there, but on PEDs. Yeah, this team definitely needs to break up.

Column: Same skills, new mindset for LeBron?

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By JIM LITKE AP Sports Columnist Spectacular as it seemed, it was nothing we haven't seen from LeBron James before. Maybe that's the funny thing about all the hoopla over James' performance in Game 4 of the Pacers-Heat series. Because for once, it wasn't just his talent that deserved the spotlight, but his maturity. The question, after all...

Stephenson Apologizes For Choke Gesture At LeBron

Lance Stephenson gave a choke sign at LeBron James after the latter missed a technical foul during the third quarter of Game 3.

Without Bosh, James might be feeling the heat

On the day LeBron James was named NBA Most Valuable Player, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra joked how he privately calls his star "One Through Five," since he is capable of playing all five positions. With Chris Bosh now sidelined in this Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Indiana Pacers, it's almost as if it has become all LeBron all the time. And...

LeBron Comes Through At Crucial Time For Heat

Over the last week Miami Heat All-Star LeBron James has been criticized endlessly by fans of the Association as well as by the media; including on these pages. After being presented the 2012 NBA MVP Trophy by Commissioner David Stern last Sunday, James certainly did not look like an MVP as his team fell behind the Indiana Pacers 2-1 in their series after Chris Bosh was injured...

The Unsatisfying Triumph Of Excellence

The UnlovedFirst things first: LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet, and it's not even really close.Sure, there are flaws to the game. His free throw shooting is a little dicey. He's prone to turnovers. He can defer too much, especially in late and close situations, possibly due to the free throw worries. But there's no more versatile player, no one...

Failing to Exist

It was the choke seen ’round the world.  Seen by everyone except the one man it was aimed at, LeBron James.  And who was the one that fired off that shot?  Some guy named Lance Stephenson.  Who is that you might ask?  Well, he’s just some guy.  Some guy that plays on the Pacers…well, is [...]

Video Diary of Miami's forgettable game three

We start with this one here.  This has been the common opinion about Lebron James these days (well years).  Although not much statistical evidence backs this up, a lot of moments like this help the anti-Lebron team's case. Anyways, you never want a rookie showing you up on national tv.  Think Lebron will see this video soon? Ah, Dwyane Wade...

If the Miami Heat fail to win a championship again, is it good or bad for the NBA?

Well I think it's impossible to not know that the Miami Heat lost in ugly fashion last night to the Indiana Pacers. After being tied at the half, Indiana outscored Miami by 14 in the third quarter to cruise to a 94-75 victory. The Pacers now hold a 2-1 series lead with a huge Game 5 lurking in Indiana on Sunday. Dwayne Wade played one of the worst games of his professional...

Howard has issues with Stephenson

I would say the Indiana Pacers player making the most noise in their series with the Miami Heat is probably Roy Hibbert. The Pacers big man has been playing phenomenally and is getting a lot of positive attention. A guy getting noticed for completely different reasons is Lance Stephenson. Stephenson has quickly gained notoriety as being the immature clown who gave LeBron James the...

Jay Pharoah Performs Stephen A. Smith Impression on 'Saturday Night Live,' Gives Advice to LeBron James (Video)

Jay Pharoah generally does a solid job on Saturday Night Live, but his impression of ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith was especially funny. Pharoah had Smith's mannerisms, voice inflection and personal stories down to a tee, which drew plenty of laughter from the audience. As part of the skit, Pharoah gave advice to LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Acting as Smith, he revealed that...

The Flawed Partnership of LeBron and Wade

Let’s be clear:  There will be no saving LeBron James from a playoff collapse this time. There’s no excuse to be made.  You could talk about Chris Bosh’s injury being a factor, but that doesn’t change the fact that LeBron played one of his worst games of the year against Indiana last night. 22 points, 22 shots, 7 rebounds and general disinterest.  None of that stat line...
