If that headline makes no sense to you, we completely understand. That’s because it is being used to describe a play that I can’t ever really remember seeing. The Miami Heat began their 2011-2012 campaign in a big way on Christmas Day by smoking the defending champion Mavericks in an NBA Finals rematch.  Since it was Christmas, even LeBron James found himself in a giving mood.  Instead of throwing down an alley-oop when he received a perfect pass from Mario Chalmers, LeBron tipped the ball to Dwyane Wade who slammed it home.  It was pretty much a double alley-oop.  Check out this video that LBS contributor Alan Hull called our attention to: If you notice the score, you’ll see that the Heat were cruising the entire game.  LeBron said he wants to get back to having fun this year instead of being the villain, and Miami certainly looked like a relaxed bunch on Sunday.  Like them or not, the Heat are a team that reached the NBA Finals in their first season together and became extremely ...

LeBron's 37 helps Heat over Mavericks

DALLAS (AP) -- LeBron James had 37 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Miami Heat got a measure of payback for the NBA finals by opening this season with a 105-94 victory over the Dallas Mavericks that wasn't as close as the score suggests. Maybe the pregame banner-raising ceremony left the Mavs emotionally drained or -- more likely -- the overhaul of their roster is...

LeBron carries Heat past Mavericks

LeBron James and the Miami Heat couldn't keep the Dallas Mavericks from winning the most recent NBA championship. They did a nice job, however, of getting the Mavs' title defense off to an ugly start. James had 37 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Heat beat the Mavericks 105-94 Sunday in a game that was hardly ever as close as the final score might suggest. Maybe...

Video: Dwyane Wade huge block on Marquis Daniels, 12-27-11. This is scary folks. The Heat have all the pieces and they look like they are playing as a team instead of a bunch of crybaby superstars. Let’s not forget… they actually cried after losses last year. REGULAR SEASON LOSSES! D. Wade tried to stay out [...]

Eastern Conference Preview: Heat remains a cut above rivals
