Found November 19, 2010 on 700 Level:

“Sometimes you have to be willing to trust each other, give up the ball here and there in certain situations. I think right now we are trying to do too much ourselves and I think if we move the ball everything will get way better. You just have to play without thinking.”

That's what Sixers rook Evan Turner had to say after their loss on Wednesday night to the lowly Toronto Raptors. "We've got to get it together," he also said. Sixers fans -- the shrinking gaggle of them left -- are waiting. Rather patiently, I might add.

The struggling Sixers (2-10) will take on a decent Bucks team (5-6) tonight at the Wells Fargo Center and the home squad will once again be without Andre Iguodala.

As Doug Collins has said over and over, this Sixers team isn't exactly as bad as their 2-10 record might suggest. They hang in almost every game, but fail to hit big shots in key situations and are falling short when D-ing up down the stretch.

We took a quick glance over at an ESPN Bucks blog which has a fantastic header image featuring a half empty basketball arena with the tag line "good seats still available." I guess the basketball fans in Milwaukee can relate to the current state of games at the WFC.

But the Bucks aren't without a star worthy of going to see in person. The Level's own Andrew Unterberger was actually in Milwaukee for their recent loss to the Bucks, and took the time to gush over Brandon Jennings.

Continuing my love affair with the speedy point guard this trip, the best part of the game was watching Brandon Jennings. Yeah, he’s fast, and yeah, he’s brilliant around the rim, but my favorite thing about seeing the Young Buck play was watching him race to spots on the floor in transition. Like no other player I’ve seen thus far, he always just seemed to know where the most mathematically-advantageous place for him to be in the half-court was, and more often than not he made the perfect decision (kick-out pass or pull-up jumper, usually) when he got there. And that jumper — holy hell, is it fun to watch. There’s something very singular about Jennings’s left-handed catapult delivery, and once you see it go in a couple times (he connected on his first three shots, including two threes), you can’t believe it when he ever misses. Even with No. 24 on the Lakers in attendance, it was Jennings (31 points, 6 assists) that was the game’s main attraction. “He’s an electric player,” a fan named Josh told me. “That’s the best way to describe him.” Word.

So if for nothing else, you can watch that kind of entertainment tonight in South Philly.

7:00 tip from the Well. Can the Sixers find the winning touch tonight?

So, Coach Collins, you guys are pretty terrible, there's gotta be something positive going on for your team, doesn't there? I mean, anything?
