Back-up center Theo Ratliff is working hard to suit up for the Lakers again (this season) in what could be the last time that he ever puts on the jersey and shorts. Ratliff a 16-year NBA veteran was signed by the Lakers in the offseason to provide insurance while Andrew Bynum recovered from knee surgery, worked out yesterday (March 14th)with athletic performance coordinator Alex McKechnie. Ratliff is attempting another comeback from his own knee surgery after suffering a setback on February 18 to provide depth to a thin Laker bench. Ratliff played in the first eight games of the season for the Lakers averaging .3 points 1.6 rebounds and .6 blocks in eight minutes of action before undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
