According to CBSSports.com, the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly going to take a look at free agent guard Gilbert Arenas when he works out in Los Angeles later this week. However, there is no indication, as of yet, that the Lakers are seriously interested in Arenas.
Arenas is coming off a season where he played 49 games for the Orlando Magic and averaged eight points per game. Ken Bergre of CBSSports.com writes that, “there are doubts among NBA executives about whether he has anything left.”
Arenas had his best season in 2005-06 where he averaged 29.3 points per game and played 80 games. Since then, Arenas has been a hassle to deal with and has bounced from Washington to Orlando last season. He has not had a decent season since 2006-07.
