Found March 24, 2013 on Larry Brown Sports:
The good folks at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood updated Kobe Bryant’s wax statue during the week to reflect the ankle injury the Lakers star was fighting. As you can see in the photo above, a big “get well soon” mat was placed in front of the wax figure. They also added a muscle stimulator to Bryant’s left ankle and attached the device to his shorts. Bryant sprained his ankle at the end of the Lakers’ loss to the Grizzlies a week and a half ago. He tried returning for the team’s next game, but after that didn’t go so well, he took the week off and returned Friday against the Wizards. Nice to see Madame Tussaud’s keeping up with current events. via Lakers Now/Los Angeles Times Related posts: Kobe Bryant out indefinitely with sprained ankle (Video) Kobe Bryant Dunks on Emeka Okafor (Video), Ankle Seems Fine Stephen Curry Hits the Nike Laboratory to Figure Out How He’s Injuring His Ankle

Kobe Bryant Reverse Dunk against the Warriors (Video)

I’ll be honest. At 34 years of age, I thought the number of monster dunks we saw from Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant would be down to a minimum. Realistically, 17 years in the league and over 40,000 minutes on his legs, I just didn’t think it would he would be able to consistently still rise over defenders and finish with authority at the rim. I couldn’t have been more...

NBA stars' 'superhero' Nike shoes violate rules

So, Nike has introduced some new superhero shoes for Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant. Superhero shoes? Yeah, basically Nike had to release some new shoes for the NBA playoffs, and came up with a superhero theme. Officially, this is the Elite Series 2.0 line and, truth be told, they are pretty sweet. There's a little bit of a sticking point, though: They violate the...

Golden State (40-31), sixth in the Western Conference, has...

Lakers Not Ready For Playoffs

The Lakers are slipping...again. And it's happening at the most inopportune time. Prior to the game against Phoenix, the Lakers had only lost just 3 times since the All-Star break. More importantly, they took over the 8th and final spot of the playoffs from Utah and primed to finish the rest of the regular season strong—perhaps even catching Houston for the 7th seed...
