Coming off of a heart breaking loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Orlando Magic (16-10) avoided another possible losing streak by defeating the Miami Heat (19-7) 102-89.
Orlando led for most of the first half and built a lead as high as 17 with 7:57 remaining when Ryan Anderson hit a three from the wing. The Magic made eight three-pointers to that point with Anderson going five for five from behind that arc. But then Dwayne Wade brought the Heat back. After the three by Anderson the Heat went on a 23-9 run with Wade scoring 14. 10 of his 14 points down the stretch of the first half were drives down the lane resulting in either layups or dunks. At the end of the first half the Magic led 53-50.
Ryan Anderson scored 24 points for Orlando in the first half with Dwight Howard scoring 13 of his own. Dwayne Wade scored 22 points for Miami in the first half with 18 coming in the second quarter and LeBron James added 15 as both pairs scored 37 points for their respective teams...
