ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orlando Magic's commitment to build through younger players became further evident Saturday when the team announced the exercising of the options of Nikola Vucevic, Maurice Harkless, Tobias Harris and Andrew Nicholson through the 2014-15 season.

Under NBA rules regarding former first-round draft picks, a team has until Oct. 31 before a player’s second season to pick up its third-year option. A team also has until Oct. 31 before a player’s third...
ORLANDO, Fla. -- In the final act of his first NBA preseason, Victor Oladipo drove nearly the length the floor for a layup which enabled the Orlando Magic to tie the score in at a point in a game where they had trailed by as many 14 points.
All right, so it took place just before halftime rather than in the waning moments of the fourth quarter.
The fact that the Magic lost 101...
The Orlando Magic beat the Bobcats out by one game to finish with the worst record in the league last season (20-62). Magic GM Rob Hennigan capitalized on that by picking Victor Oladipo, who some consider to be the best player in the 2013 NBA Draft. Orlando has a lot of young talent on this team and I think it will show flashes of greatness this season. Let’s take a look...

About an hour after the Magic's preseason ended with a 101-82 loss to the Pelicans, the Magic announced they had waived second round pick Romero Osby and training camp invitees Mickell Gladness, Manny Harris and Kris Joseph. The Magic decided to sign training camp invitee Solomon Jones.
That move was a bit of a surprise. Osby, after all, was a player...
Ronnie Price was leaving the locker room and told rookie Victor Oladipo just to wait for the regular season. There the intensity and the play will ratchet up a bit. The minutes will increase and the games will actually count for something.
Oladipo smiled and started belting out "I'm So Excited" by The Pointer Sisters.
That might be the feeling for many in locker...

Victor Oladipo said following Friday's final preseason game that he had to get "too many" tickets for family and friends for his first professional game back in his college home of Indiana. There will probably be a fair sprinkling of red among the Gold Swagger Pacers fans at Banker's Life Fieldhouse.
The first regular season game...

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Brian Roberts scored 21 points and Eric Gordon added 12 to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 101-82 rout of the Orlando Magic on Friday night. This is a no brainer.
Of course, Darrell Armstrong is going to be honored at some point this season by the Orlando Magic for its 25th Anniversary season. He was the heart of some of the most memorable Magic teams and a constant presence on the floor.
Armstrong is easily among the greatest players in Magic history not because of his...
