Has there been a more clutch player in the NBA than Paul Pierce this season? I dare you to find one. Pierce was his clutch-self again Sunday night, burying a 3-pointer with 7.4 seconds remaining in regulation, forcing overtime. The Celtics then took over in OT, and held off the Pacers 122-117, winning their 12th-straight game and improving to 20-2 on the season. Ray Allen was a machine, going for 35 points (including 7 threes), while KG had another double-double (17 points, 20 rebounds). Pierce ended the game with 17 points, and Rajon Rondo filled the stat sheet once again (7 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals). The Celtic bench provided a nice lift as well, with Eddie House dropping 15 points, and Tony Allen adding 12.Game Notes: Paul Pierce passed Kevin McHale and moved into 4th place on the Celtics' all-time scoring listA The 12-game winning streak is the Celtics longest since they won 14 straight in 1986It was Larry Bird's 52nd birthdayClick here for the Box Score.
