Mark Cuban doesn’t back down from anyone, not David Stern, not livid Los Angeles Lakers fans, and definitely not Donald Trump. On Friday, we reported that Cuban took a shot at Lakers fans after he received backlash for his comments regarding Kobe Bryant’s contract, when he said that they possess “Twitter courage.” This time he’s taken on a single entity in billionaire Donald Trump according to a story via Jay Hart of Yahoo Sports. Fast forward to last Wednesday night’s “Tonight Show” when Cuban produced a letter he received from Trump way back in 2004 P.T. (that’s pre-Twitter). Cuban’s reality show “The Benefactor” – an obvious spinoff of Trump’s “The Apprentice” – had just been cancelled. Trump wrote to Cuban, “When I initially called you to congratulate you on The Benefactor – little did you or I realize how disastrous and embarrassing it would turn out to be for you. If you ever decide to do another show, please call me and I will be happy to lend a helping hand.” After Cuban revealed Trump’s letter to the public, he responded by sending out this tweet. I watched Mark Cuban on Jay Leno last night – what a jerk! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 14, 2013   After being the subject of Trump’s ire for the last six days in which he sent out 17 tweets bashing the Dallas Mavericks owner, Cuban finally responded. . @realdonaldtrump let’s settle this like gentleman.I challenge u to a Harlem Shake duel.@sharktank cast vs Apprentice cast. For charity — Mark Cuban (@mcuban) March 19, 2013   .@realdonaldtrump on that Harlem Shake offer,we canall bring our birth certificates if that helps… — Mark Cuban (@mcuban) March 19, 2013   This just another week in the lives of two wealthy men who seem to embrace controversy, it keeps them relevant and us entertained.
