I, for one, am pretty excited to see Brooks in green this season. I think he is still young and raw but very talented. He should be able to develop more under the Celtics franchise than during his time in NJ/Brooklyn. Once he realizes his defensive abilities and puts together a more mature all round game, I truly believe he can become an all star caliber player. But I digress, here is Marshon getting visited by the YMCA at the Boston Celtics Practice Facility. Sun Life Financial and the Boston Celtics teamed up to host an exclusive exercise fit clinic at the Celtics practice facility for YMCA of Greater Boston youth. Boston Celtics’ Guard MarShon Brooks, newly-appointed Celtics’ assistant coach Walter McCarty, and Celtics’ Legend Dana Barros were on hand to help teach 35 Boston youth the importance of health, leading them in a variety of basketball drills and games, including the popular “Knockout.” The clinic encouraged physical activity and healthy lifestyles, while stressing the importance of a healthy diet and nutrition. Good to see Walter and Dana getting involved with the C's community uplifting programs like this. And from the sounds of it, there was a lot going on... Following the clinic, Celtics’ Mascot Lucky the Leprechaun surprised the students with a high-energy dunk show. Youth in attendance also received a goody bag including a basketball signed by Celtics Stars in attendance, MarShon Brooks, Walter McCarty and Dana Barros as well as a t-shirt.
