MINNEAPOLIS Martell Webster says his back is feeling good after his first contact practice in more than three months.
Webster practiced with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday for the first time since he had back surgery in September. The swingman says he felt a little rusty, but his back held up well while scrimmaging with his teammates.
The banged-up Timberwolves could use Websters size and shooting on the perimeter. Coach Rick Adelman says its too soon to tell when Webster will be ready to play in a game.
Each day after Timberwolves practice, Martell Webster is easy to find.
As the Wolves begin their independent shooting routines and one by one leave the court, Webster takes advantage of the extra floor space. Running. Driving. Shooting. Emulating basketball moves and, with each passing day, working toward the point where he can spend the entire practice participating with his teammates.
