Nuggets’ GM and 2012-13 NBA Executive of the Year, Masai Ujiri, has left left Denver and accepted the Toronto Raptors’ offer to the team’s basketball operations.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:
Denver Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri has accepted a five-year, $15 million contract to run the basketball operations of the Toronto Raptors, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Ujiri, 42, had been considering the Toronto offer for a week and finally informed the teams of his decision on Friday. His contract with the Nuggets – whom he rebuilt into a Western Conference contender in the post-Carmelo Anthony era – expired on June 30.

Danilo Gallinari was scheduled for surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but that procedure has been delayed two weeks because of a setback in his rehab from a torn meniscus.

Masai Ujiri, who is the reigning NBA Executive of the Year, is leaving the Denver Nuggets to take the GM job with the Toronto Raptors.
Masai Ujiri will aggressively attempt to trade Andrea Bargnani before July 1 as his top priority now that he is general manager of the Toronto Raptors.
Bargnani is owed $10,750,000 in 13-14 and $11,500,000 in 14-15.
The Raptors can use their amnesty on Bargnani during the second week of July if they are unable to trade him.
