Mavs trying to stage a comeback

After trailing by as much as 16 early in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks are trying to mount a rally, but the going is slow. They crept back within 77-69 after Dirk Nowitzki scored seven quick points. But the Jazz got a bucket by Carlos Boozer to stem the Maverick tide. There's still 5:31 to go and the Mavericks have life, which is more than you can say for how they looked most of the game. --Eddie Sefko
