During a tease at the beginning of ESPN SportsCenter on Saturday night, one of the lead stories was "Manny Pacquiao upset by Avery Bradley
The problem, of course, is that Pacquiao lost the extremely controversial decision to Timothy
Bradley is a basketball player for the Boston Celtics, and with Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals also taking place Saturday night, the anchor may have just had a slip of the tongue. Come on, ESPN, you need to be better than that.

Are the Spurs looking to pair Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the court at the same time next season?
If a report by Buck Harvey of The San Antonio Express-News has any legs to it, they just might.
Harvey reports that a source in the Spurs organization told him this weekend that the team will look at all options this summer, including unrestricted free agent Kevin Garnett.
The Boston Celtics forced the Miami Heat to the brink of elimination. Kevin Garnett channelled his inner "Big Ticket" in the process. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce looked more their age. Through 20 postseason games, KG posted playoff averages of 19.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per night. Allen and Pierce did not help things as much as Celtics Nation hoped they would.
It’s inevitable that the Boston Celtics will look considerably different next season. And while there is a report that Danny Ainge is “open” to bringing everyone back, you have to think that it just won’t happen.
As it stands now, Paul Pierce will definitely be back. Rajan Rondo should as well, but they’ve tried to trade him once so you never know. As for Garnett, if he...
Ever since the 1960s, when the Boston Celtics emerged as the most decorated franchise in the NBA, nothing less than a championship has satisfied the team or its fans.
This year's team may have changed that.
Overcoming age and injuries to make it to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals against the more-heralded Miami Heat, the Celtics bowed out of the playoffs on Saturday...
C’mon Man: Celtics future hall-of-famer Paul Pierce is not ready to let Kevin Garnett bow down to retirement just yet. After the team’s Game 7 defeat he told...

The Boston Celtics were moved by the gesture, and it was not difficult to see why. Paul Pierce and company had played one of the worst games of their NBA careers, and what they heard from the stands at the TD Garden in the fourth quarter of Thursday's demoralizing loss was not boos or jeers, but a steady chant of "Let's go Celtics!" that lasted the final three minutes...
The Celtics' defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals brought not only the end of the season but also many questions of what will happen to the current team. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have spent five years playing together, but this time the Big Three may actually be done. Pierce talked about retirement some this year, but recently he sounded likely to return. Allen...
Three years ago, LeBron James was raked through the coals after he walked off the court without shaking hands following a season-ending Game 6 loss to the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals. He infamously declared afterward that he didn't like shaking people's hands after a loss because he was "a winner." Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo had the good sense...
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We stand here tonight in our green and white gear... perhaps reading on a cell phone at a bar... on a tablet at some Starbucks, or on a computer at home... as a fan-base hoping for history.
We stand here tonight, as a diverse group of young and old... black and white... men and women... from dozens of countries... united by a...
Win or go home… so many implications for the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat in tonight’s game 7. Win or loss, the CLNS Post Game Crew will have all the angles covered for you. We hope that you will join us to celebrate or call in to commiserate. Either way, Celtics fans have been united [...]
While many will look at the video above and see Mickael Pietrus rudely interrupting Brandon Bass’ Game 7 postgame interview, something else about the moment struck me as hilarious. Is it just me, or does Brian Scalabrine not want Pietrus touching him? This video appears to have been shot well after the game ended and the players showered and changed, so I can’t imagine it would...
11:30 a.m. ET: This is it. The Celtics' season will either continue on to the NBA Finals, or end abruptly just five wins short of the organization's 18th championship. In what could be their final time on the court together as teammates, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen will lead the Celtics into the American Airlines Arena for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals...

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here's a look at some enemy chatter from Miami.
"Certain shots hopefully I make that I missed. If not, I'll still make an impact on the game. I'm not a one-dimensional player."
He proved that with his defense against Rondo, who closed with a playoff...
