- The Grizzlies traded Darrell Arthur for Kosta Koufas earlier in the off season and although he was the starting center for the Nuggets last season, with Memphis already having one of the best centers in the NBA, in Marc Gasol, Koufas would not receive too much playing time and is a luxury on this roster, one that they should use in a trade to help fill a need on the roster. Enter second year player, Austin Rivers. Rivers was an elite scorer in college and although the 10th pick in last summer’s draft had an underwhelming and inefficient rookie season, he still has a lot of potential and fills a big need for the Grizzlies, bench scoring and three point shooting.
Yes, Rivers was incredibly inefficient, really struggled as a rookie and is a risk, he is a risk that could pay off in a big way. He had to learn how to play...

The Memphis Grizzlies waived Fab Melo on Friday, two weeks after sending forward Donte Greene to the Boston Celtics to acquire the big-man.
Melo was the 22nd pick in 2012 after two seasons at Syracuse. He appeared in only six games for the Celtics, averaging 1.2 points and 6 minutes per game.
Melo also played in the NBA D-League, playing in 33 games...

Fab Melo has been waived by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Melo was recently acquired from the Boston Celtics via trade.
Melo was a first round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Considering I didn’t even know Fab was on the Grizzlies, I would say his time there was a failure.
