It was a lot closer than the Miami Heat would have liked it to be, but in the end the result was exactly what they wanted--a 105-103 win over the Boston Celtics to extend their winning streak to a record 23 in a row!
History was not in favor of the Miami Heat as they tried to go for their 23rd consecutive win Monday night against the Boston Celtics. It had been sometime since the Heat had won in Boston (10 games I believe).
In the beginning it certainly looked like fortune was going to smile on the Celtics. Miami got out to an early 19-15 lead in the first quarter, but a 16-0 run by the Boston put the Celtics in charge after one period 31-19.
The lead remained in double digits for much of the second period largely due to an epic half by Jeff Green who put the heat in en fuego with 22 points in just the first 15 minutes of play.
