If Michael Jordan can do it, why can't Michael Finley?  There are far too many reasons for me to name here.  However, that doesn't keep Finley from wanting to make a comeback.  The former Dallas Mavericks forward has been working with Mark Cuban in the team's front office, but he's been staying in shape and wants to play again. According to Marc Stein of ESPN Dallas, Finley is going to put his front office career on hold as he eyes a comeback to the game.  Finley was invited to training camp this past offseason as he first started his comeback attempt.  However, he suffered a minor calf injury and settled in as a special assistant to the GM.  Now, with the calf injury resolved, Finley wants to give it one more shot.Finley is 39 years old and has played 15 seasons in the NBA.  He has averaged 15.7 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game in his career.  Finley last played during the 2009-10 season for the San Antonio Spurs and the Boston Celtics.  In that final season, he averaged just 4.4 points per game.Finley could add depth to a team's bench, but it's hard to envision him being a true contributor on any team.  Even three seasons ago, before his retirement, Finley did not do much.  However, it's hard for many players to let the game go.  If Finley believes he can still play, he will keep at it until he gets another shot.
