LeBron James is the best player in the NBA today. He is the reigning NBA MVP and Finals MVP. This month along, he has dominated the game making history by becoming the first player in the league to score at least 30 points while averaging over 60 percent shooting average in six straight games. However even after you calculated all of LeBron’s  accomplishments, Michael Jordan isn’t ready to crown him King just yet.  A flaw has been found in his game according to Jordan. ESPN’s Wright Thomas wrote  an article about Jordan and his legacy. He discusses his competitiveness and how he ranks some of the younger players of this new generation. In this lengthy article Jordan also went on to analyze LeBron’s game. According to Jordan, LeBron tends to favor jump shots when he is forced left, and driving to the basket when he is forced right. “I study him,” he says. When LeBron goes right, he usually drives; when he goes left, he usually shoots a jumper. It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. “So if I have to guard him,” Jordan says, “I’m gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he’s gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he’s going to the hole and I can’t stop him. So I ain’t letting him go right.” Although this chart doesn’t show the full story , it does shed light to some of his tendencies. LeBron is clearly tired of the MJ comparison, which he helped create. However in the scoop of things, this could be seen as a compliment. Michael Jordan is studying you. Not many people if any can say that. I do think now that this has become public, which if you study basketball you have already noticed these tendencies in LeBron, you should expect him to come back and work on changing that up.
