It’s been a rough trip to Los Angeles for the defending champion Dallas Mavericks. For the second time in three days, Dallas was beaten on a last-second three-pointer from an opposing aging point guard. After Derek Fisher’s heroics saved the Lakers on Monday, Wednesday, it was Chauncey Billups’ turn. A Jason Terry three-pointer with five seconds remaining put L.A. in a one-point hole before Billups, on the ensuing possession, drilled a 25-footer of his own with one second left on the clock.He scored 21 points, including 5-11 from three-point range. Point guard Chris Paul missed his third consecutive game as he continues to nurse a strained left hamstring. Randy Foye once again started in his place, and contributed five points, six assists and four steals in 29 minutes.
