As the east coast continues to recover from the beating it took at the hands of Hurricane Sandy, photos like this one that Amar’e Stoudemire shared give us an idea of how devastating the damage has been for some people. The New Jersey shore line was completely wiped out in some places and many families have lost their cars, possessions and in some cases their entire homes. Millions remain without power across the eastern seaboard.

Fortunately, Stoudemire has plenty of money and can easily replace his Range Rover (and insurance will likely cover the loss). Unfortunately, there are families out there who are not in the same financial situation as an NBA superstar and are sure to endure serious hardships as a result of the storm. Our thoughts are with all those who were affected. We hope to see everyone bounce back sooner rather than later.

The Amare Stoudemire Situation

There are rumors flying here in NYC that Amare Stoudemire will be out for even longer than once expected. I cannot confirm these rumors and I have in fact debunked a few of them, but some of the sources have been reputable. Let us for a second assume these rumors are true and Stat is out until early December at the earliest. Where do the Knicks go from here with Amare and his...

Mark Cuban had Parsons sign offer sheet where???

I don’t think you could dream up a more appropriate way for Chandler Parsons to sign his $45 million offer sheet from the Dallas Mavericks, than to have Mark Cuban be with you while hanging out in a nightclub. Parsons, the third-year forward for the Houston Rockets, has suddenly been thrust into the spotlight of Houston’s off season, as general manager Daryl Morey attempts to...

Pitino on Chris Jones: As good a guard as I've coached

Rick Pitino has coached some pretty good guards during his nearly 40-year career in college basketball.  Recently at Louisville, there was Russ Smith, the two-time All-American, and Peyton Siva, the point guard who led the Cardinals to a national championship in 2013. He had a host of talented players at Kentucky, too, the school with which he won it all in 1998.  A player currently...
