Reigning NBA Coach of the Year George Karl now works as an analyst for ESPN. On Thursday, his colleague Jay Williams tweeted out some of Karl’s thoughts on Carmelo Anthony, whose New York Knicks are 5-13 to start out the season. Karl, who used to coach Anthony in Denver, said that Carmelo produces individual success but is not championship caliber player.

Karl coached Anthony for a number of years with the Nuggets, so he knows plenty about the type of player he is. Until Carmelo can win a championship, he'll have no way to refute Karl's assertion.

  • Jay Williams is a gossip and trying to start some trouble. Total jerk.
