The Lakers passing on Phil Jackson and the accusations of betrayal by Jim Buss and company have got to cause a vexing situation with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up this week. Phil’s long time girlfriend is Lakers EVP Jeanie Buss, Jim’s sister and Lakers owner Jim Buss’ daughter.

Sensing perhaps the impending awkwardness around the turkey headed their way, Jeanie Buss decided to seek out advice on how you love and support your man in the face of opposition from the President’s First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Stand strong Jeanie. Everyone knows you should be heading the franchise in your father’s place. It might be time to branch out of the safety of the family’s nest in order to get the respect you deserve. I hope Michelle will at least send you a DM with an answer. Good luck!

Lakers Great Kobe Bryant called the LA fans stupid, dumb and borderline idiotic

Written By Clifford, San Monica   When he was asked the reason for the Lakers’ recent turnaround, Kobe Bean Bryant  said that Mike D’Antoni and Bernie Bickerstaff want the team to read each other, react to the opposing defense and play freely.   That’s funny. The first time Lakers star Kobe Bryant brought out the “death stare” this season, it got Mike Brown fired.  I don’t know what will happen to Jeremy Lin over the next few days but one this is certain…it won’t be good. The Lakers are on a roll. Los Angeles is 4-1 since the firing of Mike Brown, and with new coach Mike D’Antoni in tow, is running a new up-tempo offense that seems to be serving Kobe Bryant and Co. well. D'Antoni is hobbled, but makes smooth Lakers debut

Ever since Mike D'Antoni got a new knee and a new job in rapid succession earlier this month, his life has been a jumble of unfamiliar faces, grueling rehabilitation sessions and anonymous hotel rooms. Just two more reasons to mock the Lakers and their fans

I’ll go out on a limb and say the kid with the backwards hat and sunglasses has a basketball IQ of 5. Those matching Dwight Howard t-shirts are kinda cute, though. Speaking of Mr. Howard, check out the reaction to his latest debacle at the free throw line. Air balls have never been so funny. Paint your face, clown.

Terrence Jones Posterizes Jodie Meeks

One of the best parts of watching a basketball game is seeing one player dunk over another player, or in other words, put them on a poster. On Sunday night, Terrence Jones of the Houston Rockets put Los Angeles Lakers guard Jodie Meeks on a poster of his own. The rookie out of Kentucky has not played much this season after a great showing at the Las Vegas Summer League, but a dunk...
