Kevin Garnett has been in the business of pressing his opponents’ buttons by talking a whole bunch of trash for a long time.

The most recent and obvious example of this is his scuffle with Carmelo Anthony after Garnett allegedly told Melo that his wife “tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios.”

Since then, there’s been a great deal of discussion about whether or not Garnett is crossing the line with his in-game trash-talk on various media and sports outlets.

Joakim Noah however, offered a much more comical view on the subject following the Bulls’ 100-98 overtime win over the Celtics.

The Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson asked Noah about Garnett’s actions. “He’s a helluva competitor. He’s always on some bulls*#t, trying to throw elbows, cheap shots, trying to get you off your game.”

When asked if Garnett was indeed crossing the line Noah responded, “When we lose, I feel like he crosses the line. But since we’ve been beating their asses, I’m cool with it.”

Joakim Noah On Kevin Garnett: He’s Always On Some Bull(crap)

Noah and Kevin Garnett, whom Noah once called “a dirty player,” battled throughout, drawing double technicals at one point. “He’s a helluva competitor,” Noah said. “He’s always on some bull(crap), just trying to throw elbows, cheap shots, trying to get you off your game. He has been doing this a long time. But it’s all right. “When we lose, I feel like he crosses...

RedsArmy presents Fan Friday #38: “Not Feeling Minnesota”

Terrell H. is a Celtics fan from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He’s been a fan of the Celtics since around 2007 when his hero, Kevin Garnett, was traded there. As a boy, seeing KG play at the Target Center was what first got him interested in hoops. He immediately “connected” with Garnett, and was amazed at his intensity: I have been a Celtic Fan since the Summer of 2007, the KG...

Kevin Garnett Calls Anthony Davis ‘Freak of Nature,’ Says Hornets Rookie Makes Him Feel ‘Like a Midget’

BOSTON — On the surface, Anthony Davis seems to have a lot in common with a young Kevin Garnett. The lithe rookie for the New Orleans Hornets is just as freakishly athletic at 6-foot-10 as Garnett was as a 19-year-old for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995. Just like a young Garnett, Davis’ potential is clear despite a mostly up-and-down rookie campaign. Playing against Davis...

Joakim Noah whines about Kevin Garnett, again

After the game last night Joakim Noah (son of French professional tennis player Yannick Noah) was asked about playing defense against Kevin Garnett. Here's what Noah had to say: (I was) just playing defense. Just playing sound defense, just contesting his shots. He's a helluva competitor. He's always on some bulls---. Always on some bulls---. Just trying to throw elbows...

Charles Barkley, Shaq Don’t Think Kevin Garnett Deserves To Be All-Star Starter

Speaking on TNT NBA Tip-off, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal said Garnett, who received 553,222 votes, the least among the 10 starters, didn’t deserve the honor this year. “I love Kevin Garnett, but he’s not having an All-Star year,” Barkley said. “It’s not fair to Tyson Chandler. He should be starting in the All-Star Game.” “Tyson Chandler should be starting...

Joakim Noah Talks Up Kevin Garnett’s ‘Cheap Shots’ After Beating Celtics

On Friday night, after the Bulls beat the Celtics 100-99 in overtime, Joakim Noah said he didn’t want to talk too much, and especially not about Kevin Garnett, with whom Noah tangled again on Friday night and about whom Noah has had some pointed words in the past. So on Friday, Noah did not go as far as to say that Garnett was a dirty player, as he has alleged before. Instead,...

Kevin Garnett Praises Anthony Davis

From one athletic freak out of Chicago’s South Side to another, Kevin Garnett had high praise for Anthony Davis. “That kid is long,” the aging Celtics superstar said of the Hornets rookie. “He makes me look like a midget, man. I was nothing like him. He’s a freak of nature. This kid’s going to be really good. He’s going to be really good.” via Ben Rohrbach, WEEI.com

Comments from the Other Side - Bulls 1/18

Bulls fans sure do hate KG and Rondo.  I think it comes from having their own center and PG out played by them so many times.   It was great that even the Bulls fans realize that they were given that game by the refs.  That was a horrible call on the jumpball.  Pierce was clearly fouled. No call.  Rondo also signaled for a time out in Marc Davis' face and wasn't given...

Celtics - Pistons box score and highlights

After being down 27-18 after the first quarter, the Celtics cut the deficit to 4 points at the half. The Pistons then proceeded to outscore the Celtics 29-13 in the 3rd and  22-17 in the 4th. Kevin Garnett and Courtney Lee both scores 16 points, a game high, and Rajon Rondo flirted with a triple double, notching 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 15 assists. Box score below, highlights...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Bulls 1/18

The Celtics have lost. This one really sucked. We had a lead with a few seconds left in both the fourth and in OT, yet we couldn't catch a break. Rondo played amazing: putting in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists. Unfortunately, he fouled out mid-way through overtime. This one stings and I just want to move on, but I won't. Tonight's underrated stat of the night...

NBA All-Star voting is underway, and the Celtics are finally playing like a team that has a couple of All-Stars on its roster.
