Will Ferrell does goofy things sometimes.

So this happened on Tuesday night at the Staples Center, as Ferrell donned one of the famous red coats worn by the arena’s security team and went to work keeping the crowd on their best behavior. The Anchorman star went all out on his gig, even adopting a fake name that is rather hilariously inappropriate…

That’s right, the Staples Center crowd was under the stern and watchful eye of Ted Vagina, security guard. A little sophomoric I’ll agree, but hey, at least he kept things somewhat tasteful, especially when you consider the alternatives.

Here’s a video of Mr. Vagina surveying the crowd…

And kicking out noted instigator Shaquille O’Neal…

The Lakers ended up winning 91-85 behind Dwight Howard’s 19 points and 18 boards, and Kobe Bryant’s team-high 9 assists.

  • This is a scam spam, you should ashammed of your BS
  • That's pretty funny. I wouldn't have done the Vagina thing but I would have come up with a funny last name. Well I have to go now, I'm looking at a picture on this page of Kate Upton in her SI cover photo and I need to get a better look so I can comment on the appropriateness of her dress. Purely community standards observations of course.
  • How about Little Brown Pooperman instead of Ted Vagina?
  • LOL!!!!
  • Will Ferrell is not funny; he has never been funny. He has no talent! I make it a point to never watch ANYTHING he is involved with, including the above videos.
  • Doesn't stop you from reading about him does it? I hear a bit of the green eyed monster. Just because his humor and talent doesn't appeal to you, doesn't mean others don't enjoy him and cheer on his success. Grow up.
  • It's simple, if you like Mr. Ferrell you have no taste. It's that rarest of occurances: a viable tautology.

Howard expects to play in All-Star game

Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant were elected starters for Sunday night's NBA All-Star game in Houston. Despite playing through a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Howard said Monday that he expects to play. "If I re-aggravate my shoulder in these next two games, I'll probably just play a couple of minutes and sit the rest out," Howard said. Coach Mike D'Antoni...

NBA Rumors: Lakers Must Get Rid of Dwight Howard To Avoid Any More Drama

USA TODAY Sports There’s an entire city that knows just what to expect, used to the futility and long suffering, used to the phoniness and broken promises. It’s because Dwight Howard is unhappy with the team and his teammates and couldn’t care less about the Los Angeles Lakers, pouting about the number of touches and finding convenient excuses to sit out a game as he supposedly...

Dwight Howard’s Inherent Flaws Prove Troublesome

Dwight Howard has some type of inherent flaw. I won’t pretend to be an avid NBA fan. When the big games are on, I watch and enjoy. I soak in a player’s greatness and watch him flourish. During the playoffs, I make a conscious effort to catch the contests at hand. I don’t dislike the [...]The post Dwight Howard’s Inherent Flaws Prove Troublesome appeared first on The Sports Fan Journal.

Kobe Says Beef With Dwight Howard was Manufactured By Media

The Lakers are falling apart and at the center of that is Dwight Howard. Doesn’t matter if it is Kobe, D’Antoni, Nash or Earl Clark no one seems to like Dwight and they question his effort. With that being said, Kobe blames the media for it blowing up. Bryant told the media before the Lakers practice on Monday that, ”I didn’t say anything wrong. I didn’t say anything to...

Despite a 4-3 Grammy Trip, Lakers’ Sun Seems to be Rising

Games on Lakers’ Schedule this week: Phoenix Suns (17-35), Los Angeles Clippers (36-17) The most important game this week for the Lakers is against the Phoenix Suns. Yes, the Suns. The Lakers have returned home from their longest road trip of the season. Although they ended the trip at 4-3 and lost Pau Gasol along the way, the Lakers have been playing much better as of late. Will Ferrell poses as an usher, ejects Shaq

I guess since the Los Angeles Lakers’ season has become sort of a joke, it might be time to just embrace the humor. Last night the Lakers did just that, letting Will Ferrell stand in as an usher during the game against the Phoenix Suns. Actually, I cannot say for sure that the Lakers let him do this, or if Will just decided he would put on the uniform and stand there and since...

Will Ferrell Ejected Shaquille O’Neal From Last Night’s Lakers Game

Say what you want about actor/comedian Will Ferrell – he’s washed up, past his prime, a shell of his former self, he should have stopped after Anchorman, he should take a few years off to come up with a new project that would totally wow us, The Campaign was awful, he yells too much, the only people happy about Anchorman 2 are aging frat boys* in need of fresh happy hour material...

Preview: Lakers vs. Suns

The Lakers (24-28) return home after finishing a 4-3 effort in their longest road trip of the season. That road trip started in a shocking 92-86 loss to the Phoenix Suns (17-35), a team that was and still at the bottom of the Western Conference. Needless to say, the purple and gold are looking for some payback tonight. The last 10 days away from Los Angeles didn't go through...

Lakers-Heat draws massive rating Sunday on ABC

The Miami Heat's 107-97 win over the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday afternoon on ABC drew a 5.0 overnight rating. Excluding Christmas Day games, it's good for the second-highest regular season overnight on ABC since they've been airing the NBA in 2002. This year's game trails just a Lakers-Heat matchup from last March, and is tied with a Lakers-Cavaliers game from February...

Count it! An-twan!

I’m feeling like Kobe Bryant today, uninspired! Last night Kobe, who is averaging 20.7 FGA per game attempted only 8 shots and aborted 7 of them. That means he missed 7 of 8 in case you’re trying to do the math. Reverse psychology! Not really. Anyway, while Kobe was busy day dreaming about Jason Kidd’s ex-wife, Antawn Jamison stepped up with 19/10/1 and 2 threes in 33 minutes...
