Now you can finally play as the likes of Acie Law, Andres Nocioni and Sonny Weems in your favorite video game, as you have not been able to do since those guys were dumped from the NBA for not being very good. Those players, now plying their trades overseas, could be available for play in NBA 2K14, the next edition of 2K Sports’ signature basketball video game. The game will include top Turkish Airlines Euroleague teams for the first time, offering gamers a chance to pit the top NBA players against their counterparts who were not good enough to make an NBA roster. The list of teams includes: Alba Berlin FC Barcelona Real Madrid CSKA Moscow EA7 Emporio Armani Milano Montepaschi Siena Fenerbahçe Ülker Istanbul Anadolu Efes Istanbul Olympiacos Piraeus Panathinaikos Athens Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv Zalgiris Kaunas Unicaja Málaga Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Two of those teams should be familiar to diehard Celtics fans. The green team played Fenerbahce Ulker and EA7 Emporio Armani in last year’s...

NBA Draft Day Grades: Sixers, Kings, Pistons, Jazz, Blazers

(Being continued from my grades for CLE, ORL, WAS, CHA, and PHX.) Every team was aware that Ben McLemore was the most talented player in the draft but somehow, someway, he slid all the way down to number seven.  The players picked six through ten could very easily make a better team than the first five picks when we compare them three years from now.  Not only did the most talented...

Report: Bynum refusing to work out

Andrew Bynum is more than willing to listen to teams trying to woo him for his services. But he won't work out with any team before signing, according to a report by Yahoo! Sports. Bynum, who missed all of last season because of knee problems, has the size and skills to command big bucks on the free-agent market when healthy. But that's the main issue with the mercurial...

Andrew Bynum, big supporter of self-sabotage

With any lucky, Andrew Bynum will be out of Philadelphia shortly, so I figured I should take advantage of what little time I have left and write yet another piece about Bynum while he is still topical to the 76ers.This piece ran originally on Philly.com and kicked up a lot of comments; people didn't have a lot of kind words for the big guy. But seriously, refusing to work out...

Carter-Williams Headlines 76ers' Summer League Roster

The Philadelphia 76ers have announced their Summer League roster for 2013. Michael Carter-Williams, Arnett Moultrie, Arsalan Kazemi and Justin Holiday headline the team, who will be participating in the Orlando Summer League.

Andrew Bynum Won’t Work Out For Teams As A Free Agent

Andrew Bynum didn’t play in a single game last season, while salsa dancing and bowling his way to over $16 million in free wages. Bynum is a free agent and despite critics and pundits questioning his desire, and whether or not he’ll be healthy enough to play, his agent David Lee says he won’t work out for any teams according to Yahoo Sports. Bynum’s agent, David Lee, said...

Cavs “will likely kick the tires” on Andrew Bynum

This might be nothing more than due diligence, but Bob Finnan (by way of Hoopsworld) is reporting that the Cavaliers will explore the possibility of signing free agent center Andrew Bynum. (Sulia) Bynum was an utter disaster for the Philadelphia 76ers as the 25-year-old didn’t suit up for the team one time in his lone season there. 76ers CEO Adam Aron’s quote says it all. ...

Cavaliers need to just walk away from Andrew Bynum

As we’ve been told, the Cleveland Cavaliers will “kick the tires” on Andrew Bynum. I know that Chris Grant likes to explore every option. That’s fine. Having done some car shopping recently, I know I kicked the tires on plenty of cars I had no intention to buy. It’s just part of the game. Chris Grant needs to kick the tires and then walk away from this one. I really don’t...

Andrew Bynum is a free agent and will not work out for teams that are interested in signing him

CBS Sports reports that Andrew Bynum will not be working out for teams that would be interested in signing him.  This is a smart move by Andrew Bynum and his [...]

Report: Mavs Want Andrew Bynum, If They Can’t Sign Dwight Howard

The phrase that is being used in the report from Mavericks.com is “Imperfect Plan B”. I would say that is an accurate statement in regard to going from Howard to Bynum. Dwight Howard isn’t perfect, but at least he plays. Bynum would be an extreme risk, but it looks like it is one the Mavericks are willing to take. Sources tell us Andrew Bynum represents an ‘imperfect Plan...

Andrew Bynum Won’t Work Out for Teams in Free Agency

Because a player who hasn’t played a NBA minute in over a full season shouldn’t have to prove himself to teams, right? Listen, I wouldn’t offer Andrew Bynum anything close to a contract. It’s not just the chronic knee issues, but the non-nonchalant attitude that makes me question whether or not he even cares about [...]

Andrew Bynum’s Injury History, Potential Value Make Him NBA’s Most Intriguing Free Agent

From just about every perspective, Andrew Bynum‘s season was an unmitigated disaster. It was a disaster for the Sixers, for whom he never played a game. It was a disaster for Sixers fans, who were fooled into thinking their team was on the verge of contending. And it was unquestionably a disaster for Bynum, who went from vying for a maximum contract to having to go hat-in-hand...

Andrew Bynum Receives Interest From Mavericks, Several Other Teams

The Dallas Mavericks were one of several teams to contact the agent for Andrew Bynum during the opening hours of free agency. Bynum is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp, but any team that signs him will want to do their own thorough medical evaluation. Bynum missed the entire 12-13 NBA season following a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers.
