Last night, the NBA announced this year’s field for the 2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. The list isn’t filled with the league’s biggest super stars, and may leave the “casual” NBA fan wondering who all the contestants are. But us — the die hard basketball fans — know this year’s dunk contest on February 16th has the opportunity to be a great one. Jeremy Evans will be defending his title from last year, and will be going against one of the best dunkers I have seen in James “Flight” White. The rest of the field includes veteran dunker Gerald Green, Eric Bledsoe, Kenneth “Manimal” Faried, and rookie Terrence Ross. Green, White, and Evans all have the length and athleticism to wow the crowd and all have prior experience in prime time dunk contest. Don’t sleep on rookie Terrence Ross, who has been dunking all over the league and has the potential to sneak up and blow away the competition. Eric Bledsoe is the shortest of the group, and may play to the crowd with the ‘Nate Robinson Effect’. Kenneth Faried is more of a power dunker, but the fans love seeing aggressive strong throw downs. I wonder if he will try and break the backboard? So who are you taking as your 2013 Dunk Contest winner? Let us know in the comment section below. If you need some help deciding, here are some video highlights, starting with Gerald Green vs. James White in Russia from 2010:  James White vs. Gerald Green   Jeremy Evans James White Gerald Green Terrence Ross Kenneth Faried Eric Bledsoe   Related posts: What Will 2013 Bring For The Washington Wizards?

Chris Paul Launches Fragrance ‘Untouchable’ From Avon With Help of Son (Video)

It would be really easy to make a joke here about the Clippers stinking. But they’re actually good this year, so instead we’re going to make a joke about how Avon is something that our moms sell each other over lunch when they’re not having Tupperware parties. Anyway, Chris Paul is now at the celebrity star basketball player level where he gets to have his own perfume — er...

Chris Paul has teamed up with AVON as the face of a new men’s fragrance, Untouchable. According to the beauty brand, “the new scent will capture the thrill of hitting the court when the crowd is going wild, sinking the game-winning shot and bringing home victory.” Chris Paul describes the scent comparing it to his competitive nature: “The drive to win is what gets me out...

Healthy Clippers can't beat the Heat

The five starters who walked on the court Friday night in Miami were a welcome sight for the Clippers. The game was not. It will take some time for Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups and Blake Griffin to get their legs under them and find a rhythm as a unit. Right now, they're as rusty as an old tire iron. But the good news is that they're all back, and so is reserve guard Jamal...

Paul, Billups, Griffin back vs. Heat

The Los Angeles Clippers are getting healthier. The Miami Heat are fighting the flu. Chauncey Billups, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin returned to the Clippers' lineup on Friday night, when the Pacific Division leaders visited the reigning NBA champion Heat - who were without Ray Allen and Chris Bosh, both sidelined by an illness that has been going around the team. Miami did...

Chris Paul To Unveil Signature Cologne Called Untouchable

Athletes are always trying to invest in something or do anything to help their portfolio’s grow.  Some are smarter than others, and that’s why some will never be on an episode of “Broke.” Clippers point guard Chris Paul seems to have quite the bit of intelligence with him, so I have no doubt his latest off the court venture should succeed. Ball Don’t Lie is reporting that...

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers could be battling fatigue as much as each other Sunday.
