Earlier on Tuesday we reported that the Sacramento Kings had offered free agent Andre Iguodala a four-year, $56 million deal and had emerged as the front-runner for his services. Since then, things have rapidly changed and the Kings have now decided to rescind that offer. It all happened within a few hours late Tuesday, but the Kings are reportedly now no longer pursuing Iguodala according to USA Today’s Sam Amick. Apparently the Kings wanted an immediate response from Iguodala, and he wanted time to think about their offer. After waiting for a few hours, the team yanked the offer and will go in a different direction. Iguodala was widely considered the third-best player set to be a free agent this summer behind Dwight Howard and Chris Paul. He’s found several teams interested in him, including the Denver Nuggets, with whom he played the 2012-13 season. Denver has offered the 29-year-old a five-year, $63 million deal and the two sides will likely begin talking more seriously now that Sacramento is out of the picture. Meanwhile, one would have to assume this means the Kings will look to retain restricted free agent Tyreke Evans, who was just offered a four-year, $44 million contract by the New Orleans Pelicans. Reactions to the Kings pulling the offer to Iguodala were almost universally negative Tuesday night. He is a player who would bring tenacity, incredible perimeter defense, a tireless work-ethic and professionalism to Sacramento. The franchise has sorely lacked all of those aspects for quite some time. Iguodala was clearly shocked by what happened Tuesday night and took to Twitter to say the following: Really?? Ok… MOTIVATION!!!!!! — Andre Iguodala (@andre) July 3, 2013   The post NBA Free Agency: Sacramento Kings pull offer to Andre Iguodala appeared first on Midwest Sports Fans.
