ESPN has a piece up this morning talking about the latest revelations regarding NBA Jam, which releases Oct. 5.
While we already knew about a number of legends characters -- James Worthy, Dennis Rodman, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Detlef Schrempf and Kevin McHale -- the article mentions two more we didn't know. Spud Webb and Manute Bol will both be in the game.
In addition to that news, Jam creative director Trey Smith dished on a few new modes outside of classic 2-on-2. The game will feature Boss Battles, Remix Tour (a reformatted 2-on-2) and a Backboard Smash Game, which is described as "Street Fighter meets Jam."
I wanted to highlight the details of the boss-battle mode in particular:
