Found June 16, 2012 on Hardcourt Mayhem:

Mehmet Okur was a very consistent big man from when he joined the league in 2002 up to the 2009-10 season. Since then, the 33-year-old Turkish big man has struggled, battling with injuries for the past two seasons that has limited him to only 30 games total.

According to Utah Jazz broadcaster David Locke, Okur looks to leave the NBA and head overseas to play.

Reports out of the Turkish media thatMehmet Okur might return to Turkey and sign with Fenerbahce Ulker

It seems like the right decision for Okur. He hasn’t been able to do much these past two years and can’t seem to stay consistent. And with his age up there and his health in question, he won’t be able to garner much interest at all.

Okur last played for the Nets, posting averages of eight points and five rebounds per game in 17 games. Best of luck to you, Mehmet!
