Gary Dineen/NBAE/Getty Images Wild Thing: After blessing us with a great Wednesday night of NBA games, the Basketball Gods decided to punish us with a game between the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers on National TV. The results weren’t exactly the insult to basketball, that we expected. We actually got a pretty good one man show from Joakim Noah. The bunhead led the Bulls with his third career triple-double on a game-high 23 points (8 of 12), 21 rebounds and 11 blocks to send the Philadelphia 76ers home with a 7 game losing streak. Noah becomes the first player since 1998 to record at least 20 points, 20 boards and 10 blocks in a game and is the first ever to do it while shooting at least 65 percent from the field. Carlos Boozer added 21 points (5 of 13) and 12 rebounds. On the other side, Jrue Holiday scored 22 points on 19 shots. Spencer Hawes chipped in for 20 points on 18 shots and 15 boards for the Sixers. Joakim Noah will have none of yourself silly shot attempts. Point ...

Best of Joakim Noah's historic triple-double

Recording his second triple-double of the season, Joakim Noah is the first Bulls since Artis Gilmore in 1977 to have a points-rebounds-blocks triple-double, as well as the first player since 1998 (Shawn Bradley) to put up at least 20 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocks. How about he’s the first player in NBA history with 20+ points, 20+ rebounds, 10 blocks and 65% shooting from...

Bulls Joakim Noah gets a triple-double against the 76′ers

Bulls forward Joakim Noah played an incredible game Thursday night as his team took on the Philadelphia 76′ers. Noah had a triple-double Thursday night, going for 23 points, grabbing 21 rebounds and blocking 11 shots, leading the Bulls to the win! You know I adore Joakim and his messy bun. It is perfection! Plus he’s just a hard worker. Always hustling in the paint. You need...

Joakim Noah posts triple-double: 23 points, 21 rebounds and 11 blocks

Joakim Noah's wild ride continued Thursday with an unorthodox triple-double: 23 points (8-of-12 field goals and 7-of-9 free throws), 21 rebounds and 11 blocks. Who needs to pass when you can block everything in sight? Noah did dish -- one assist -- and stole three balls in 45 minutes as the Bulls beat the Philadelphia 76ers 93-82. If he doesn't get line of the night, something...

Noah leads Bulls over Nets

Joakim Noah had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Carlos Boozer scored 20 points and the Chicago Bulls beat the Brooklyn Nets, 96-85, on Saturday. The Bulls went on a 19-0 run that started in the second quarter and stretched into third, giving them an 18-point lead. They opened March on a winning note after going 5-8 in February, just their second losing month in 2 1/2 seasons under coach...

Noah's triple-double fuels Bulls

Mr. Triple Double - Joakim Noah

I think this will be a new segment because I am a huge fan of triple doubles. I love them so much that my favorite players are Jason Kidd, Rajon Rondo and Lebron James. So Today's Mr. Triple Double, which will be a daily/weekly/monthly/whenever the hell I feel like it award, is Joakim Noah.  If you fell asleep, don't get league pass or didn't care about a 76ers/Bulls...

Game 60 Recap: Bulls 96, Nets 85. The One Where The Turnovers Ran Wild, For The Nets

Joakim Noah won the battle of Eastern Conference All-Star centers, edging out Brook Lopez   Hey, it's a turnover! Over here! Over there! Ok, enough for my children's book-like recap of whatever the hell happened tonight in Chicago. The Nets got simply punked tonight by a Bulls team missing it's star player (Derrick Rose) and a key bench defender/jack...

If There’s A Flood, Noah Won’t Let Anyone From Philly Into His Ark

So one of my favorite directors, Darren Aronofsky, is working on a new movie Noah that is going to come out some time in 2014.  Yeah, it’s about the dude in the “we’re gonna need animals in this boat”, not “we’re gonna need a bigger boat.”  Russell Crowe is going to be Noah.  Hmmmm.  (Did you know “hm” can be played in scrabble and Words With Friends?  Man...

Nets-Bulls Preview

While the Chicago Bulls continue to be cautious with Derrick Rose, a historic performance by Joakim Noah only masked their ongoing offensive troubles without their star guard. Things may not get any easier against the Brooklyn Nets, who have been stingy on the road lately. The Bulls will try to beat the Nets for the 12th time in 15 home games on Saturday night. Rose dunked four...
