The Brooklyn Nets will play their first playoff series since 2007, and their first ever in Brooklyn – and all black everything will be their home-court playoff theme. Fans are encouraged to wear black for the “blackout” and the Nets will seek permission to wear their away jerseys at home.
According to the NY Times:
“The goal is to wear black at home,” said Fred Mangione, the team’s chief marketing officer.
The Nets would need permission from the Bulls to alter their designated uniforms, permission that is normally given without much issue. Mangione said black towels would be distributed to fans for Game 2.
