The Bucks have acquired Chris Douglas-Roberts

In a non-Sixers news story, the New Jersey Nets are on the verge of sending former 40th overall pick, Chris Douglas-Roberts, to the Milwaukee Bucks for a future draft pick.

The deal, which may seem minor, does affect the landscape of the Sixers’ division…slightly. The Bucks are looking for some kind of scoring threat, and apparently they feel Douglas-Roberts could be that someday, but it also affects the Sixers’ efforts to deal Andre Iguodala.

The Bucks were considered one of the possible suitors for Iguodala in a draft day trade (which could still happen). With Douglas-Roberts recently acquired, the interest level in Iguodala could take a hit for Milwaukee. However, Milwaukee may feel that Iguodala is more adapt to the learning their offense and making an impact right away, unlike Douglas-Roberts (who is still a developing player).

The NBA Draft is approaching rapidly (one day away!), and with Evan Turner expected to be the likely #2 overall pick to Philly, it will be interesting to see if the Sixers decide to ship off Iguodala or anybody else for that matter.
