A Glam Slam:
Kobe Bryant is the latest sportsman to team up with Swiss luxury watch brand, Hublot. The Los Angeles Lakers star will represent the brand on an international level, joining a roster of sports ambassadors that includes Dwyane Wade, Usain Bolt and soccer legend, Diego Maradona.
“Bryant is the perfect choice for Hublot – a brand known for its precision and excellence, traits that have characterized the basketball icon’s celebrated career,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.
To commemorate the partnership, Hublot recently released Bryant’s signature timepiece. The “King Power Black Mamba” is inspired by his nickname, “Black Mamba.” The limited-edition wristwatch features a snake around the counter at 9 o’clock and Kobe’s jersey number, “24,” over 6 o’clock. Check it out:
According to the brand, Bryant’s new position serves to further strengthen the relationship between Hublot and the LA Lakers. In January of this year, Hublot became the first Official Timekeeper for the NBA franchise. The company announced its first U.S. Team partnership in 2010, partnering with the Miami HEAT. The addition of the Los Angeles Lakers makes this the second NBA team partnership for the brand, solidifying its expanding presence and the growth in Los Angeles.
In support of the partnership, Hublot will have an ongoing alliance with The Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families in need, both domestically and globally.

I’ll be honest. At 34 years of age, I thought the number of monster dunks we saw from Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant would be down to a minimum. Realistically, 17 years in the league and over 40,000 minutes on his legs, I just didn’t think it would he would be able to consistently still rise over defenders and finish with authority at the rim.
I couldn’t have been more...

Are we at the point with the Lakers where we’re taking moral victories? If so, than Kobe’s dunk on Monday night in the Lakers loss to the Warriors was definitely that. Check out Mamba’s two-hand reverse dunk.

The Golden State Warriors hammered the Los Angeles Lakers Monday night in what seemed like an exhibition match rather than an NBA game; by the way Los Angeles helped out the Utah Jazz (just back one game from the 8th seed) with their loss. If there was ever a player that epitomized the ideal of "getting better with age" it is Kobe Bryant. When he has been on the court thins season the man is playing lights out basketball. I firmly believe that had he not gotten hurt and the Lakers continued winning he might have had a chance to steal the MVP from LeBron James.
Now that isn't the case, but the he...

Lakers center Dwight Howard took a shot to the face from Golden State's David Lee on Monday night and hinted that he intends to retaliate in the future.
Kobe Bryant is often described as a cold-blooded human being. His Monday night dunk over Klay Thompson only serves to push that point forward.
Thompson and the Golden State Warriors had the last laugh as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 109-103.

Kobe Bryant took advantage of a 1-on-1 vs. the Warriors second-year guard Klay Thompson and accelerated baseline for the nasty double-clutch reverse jam Monday night:
So, Nike has introduced some new superhero shoes for Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant. Superhero shoes? Yeah, basically Nike had to release some new shoes for the NBA playoffs, and came up with a superhero theme. Officially, this is the Elite Series 2.0 line and, truth be told, they are pretty sweet.
There's a little bit of a sticking point, though: They violate the...
Kobe Bryant must finally like what he sees in his Los Angeles Lakers team because the NBA star is keeping a $20,000 bottle of bubbly on ice in case his team wins the title.
Bryant was presented with a Black Gold Jeroboam of 1998 Dom Perignon — of which there are only 50 — and confidently joked, "We'll pop this in June," reported Page Six of The New York Post.

The Lakers are slipping...again.
And it's happening at the most inopportune time.
Prior to the game against Phoenix, the Lakers had only lost just 3 times since the All-Star break. More importantly, they took over the 8th and final spot of the playoffs from Utah and primed to finish the rest of the regular season strong—perhaps even catching Houston for the 7th seed...
