Time for a much needed update on all that has gone on with the New Orleans Hornets this past week.  First of all after the Hornets had deactivated center Cris Kaman to seek out a trade partner, they were unable to reach a deal with any team and reactivated him for all team activities.  Seems they could use him back as Carl Landry suffered an MCL sprain and is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks. Carl suffered the injury in last Saturday night’s loss against the Detroit Pistons after colliding with Jason Maxiell in the third quarter.  Landry was averaging 11.4 ppg and 4.4 rebounds off the bench for New Orleans.  After the injury the Hornets signed Lance Thomas to a ten day contract, Thomas began the season on the roster but was let go two games into the season.  It is unlikely Thomas will get much playing time, so nothing too exciting there.  Jason Smith also suffered a concussion in the loss to Detroit and is day to day currently.
