The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets have made it a point to proclaim their dominance over the city this offseason. In 2015 both teams will have to share the city.
On Wednesday the NBA is set to announce that the Knicks and Nets will co host the 2015 NBA All Star Game. It will be the first All Star Game played in New York since 1998.
Outgoing NBA commissioner, David Stern, and Adam Silver are expected to hold a news conference in New York to make it official. They will be joined at the conference by Knicks’ owner James Dolan and Madison Square Garden President Hank Ratner.
The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will host the Saturday night festivities, including the Three-Point Shootout and Slam Dunk Contest. On Sunday, the All Star Game will be played in Manhattan at Madison Square Garden.
The Nets acquisition of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett has certainly escalated the rivalry between the Knicks and Nets. Garnett and Pierce will bring the hatred they had for the Knicks as members...

This off-season certainly has been eventful for J.R. Smith. After signing a four-year $24.5 million dollar contract, wait ummm, rather three-year $17.95 million dollar contract to stay in blue and orange this upcoming season, it was soon discovered that he would be undergoing surgery to repair a damaged patella tendon and a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. The deal actually...
The most talented scorers Carmelo Anthony has played with in his career are J.R. Smith and Allen Iverson. Iverson came to the Nuggets after his prime and J.R. Smith has been wildly inconsistent throughout his career. Neither player’s game complemented Anthony’s very well.
After 10 seasons, Andrea Bargnani could be the 2nd scorer Anthony has needed beside him...
Every week at Turn On The Knicks our staff will debate an issue of the week surrounding the team here in Roundtable Format. Make sure to give everybody a follow on Twitter, and follow the site right here. Let us know if you agree/disagree.
What do you expect from Ray Felton this season?
Joe Caporoso - I don’t see any reason to expect Ray Felton’s numbers to dramatically...
Starting last season, the inside collar of all New York Knicks jerseys read “Once A Knick, Always A Knick.” Judging by the way they move players around, this statement couldn’t be any further from the truth. Unfortunately, it sometimes means that legendary Knicks are forced to suit up as an opponent in Madison Square Garden. This was perfectly exemplified when a certain number...
The Knicks will add veteran forwards Ike Diogu and Josh Powell to their training camp roster league sources said.
Both were part of the group of free agents who had a two-day workout with the Knicks last week. Neither will get any guaranteed money but will sign make-good contracts.
The Knicks have 14 players with at least partial guarantees and want to add insurance up front.
NEW YORK (AP) -- The Knicks and Nets are working together to split the NBA All-Star weekend in New York City in 2015.
The game will be played at Madison Square Garden and the slam dunk contest and other skills events held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Wednesday's announcement completes about two years of planning, an idea brought to the teams by the league to share the...
Starting point guard Raymond Felton believes being the oldest team in NBA history last season was an interesting distinction but ultimately cost the Knicks a chance at a title. Felton said the Knicks have a greater chance of success in 2013-14 because they have become younger.
Felton pointed to the elderly bench of Rasheed Wallace Kurt Thomas Marcus Camby and Jason Kidd who fell...

The New York Knicks have signed center Cole Aldrich, a former lottery pick who has struggled in the NBA.
Aldrich played last season for Houston and Sacramento, averaging 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 45 games.
The 6-foot-11 Aldrich was drafted by New Orleans with the 11th pick in 2010 after three seasons at Kansas, where he helped the Jayhawks win the 2008 national championship...
The Trail Blazers still have not forgiven Raymond Felton.
Felton is now a productive point guard for the Knicks, but two years ago he kind of, sort of, pretty much quit on the Blazers. In Portland unwillingly as a result of three-team trade involving a batch of role players, Felton coasted his way to more than $7.5 million in the 2011-12 season while career lows of 11.4 points per...
Back on Monday, the New York Post posted a story about New York Knicks guard Raymond Felton where he decided to blast his former team, the Portland Trail Blazers.
Below is what Raymond said about the media/fans portrayal of him before he left the city of Portland for NYC:
Felton is still bitter at the character assassination he received in the Rose City. Last March during a game...

The Knicks @ Nite crew and important Knickswag contributors have thought night and day about who the most important Knick could be. We all have come up with some great insight into this subject, so let’s skip the bloviating and get right to it… Enjoy.
Peter Arturi –
The idea that one player could be more important than the team concept is maddening to me. Assuming Melo picks...
