Found February 28, 2013 on Turn On The Knicks:
Since my last bench report last Thursday, the Knicks have gone 2-1, losing last Friday night in Toronto, but then regaining momentum by winning their last two games against Philadelphia and Golden State. Not much has changed by way of the Knicks bench production, aside from the fact of what I believe to be a very consistent effort from their two big producers off the bench in J.R. Smith and Amare Stoudemire, and the usual minutes given to the likes of Steve Novak and Pablo Prigioni. Here is my take on this weeks past bench production. Most Productive Bench Performer – Amare Stoudemire – I have mentioned how time and time again I have been back and forth on whether I think STAT should be in the starting lineup or not. He has shown however, that he fits the roll of coming off the bench extremely well. The first word that comes to mind with STAT is consistency, and he certainly has shown that he has that. In these past three games, he has shot an astounding 21 of 27 of the field. That ...

Kenyon Martin the Perfect Fit for the New York Knicks?

All year the Knicks have been looking for a “big” to step up and help Tyson on the defensive end of the court. All year little has happened in that help. Do The Knicks Have A Definitive #2 Scoring Option?

Stephen Curry cemented himself in Madison Square Garden history with his 54 point, 11-13 from behind the arc game on Wednesday, Feb. 27. The performance marked the Garden’s third highest point total in it’s long, decorated history, behind Jordan’s famous 55 in 1995, and Kobe’s incredible 61 in 2009. Curry may have proved no one in the game has as pure of a shot as he recently...

Rasheed Wallace out eight weeks with broken foot, season likely over

Rasheed Wallace's season is over. The New York Knicks forward is out eight weeks with a broken foot that will require season-ending surgery, according to the New York Times' Howard Beck. This is a real-life blow -- not a fantasy one. Wallace, at 38, no longer was the fantasy force of the past. In 20 games, he averaged 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and .8 blocks while playing...

With Leather’s Watch This: Rasheed Wallace, We Hardly Knew You

The New York Knicks did us all a favor this season by signing Rasheed Wallace, because we should always have his crazy ass involved in the NBA forever and ever until the world ends. Interestingly enough, the apocalypse will be David Stern’s fault, but that’s not related to today’s news. Namely, that Wallace’s season is over. The Knicks are optimistic that Wallace, who is now...
