In the second quarter of the Washington Wizards’ upset of the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, Nick Young may have attempted one of the worst layups in the NBA. Down by seven at the time, Wizards rookie Shelvin Mack started a fast break by finding Nick Young with the outlet pass. It looked like an easy two points for Nick Young but he inexplicably threw the ball over the backboard. Watch the video to see if for yourself, it is definitely a head scratcher.
Washington Wizards guard Nick Young had an embarrassing moment in the second quarter of Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers when he managed to shoot a breakaway layup over the backboard.
Wizards guard Sheldon Mack stole the ball and Nick Young immediately headed to the other basket. Mack passed the ball to Young for the wide open layup, but as Young...
It hasn’t been the best of seasons for the lowly Wizards as they entered Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers, and yet they somehow overcame a 21-point deficit to drop Los Angeles 106-101. Win or loss, this is Washington we’re talking about, which means their best highlight of the night has to be this epic miss on a wide-open layup attempt by Nick Young.
Somehow Young...
During last night's Wizards/Lakers affair, Washington Wizards forward Nick Young provided us with one of the stranger highlights of all-time.In the second quarter, Young had a break-away lay-up but somehow ended up missing and pushed the ball over the shot clock:
The Washington Wizards did what nobody thought an 8-29 team could do, beat Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. That wasn't the only highlight of the night though. Nick Young gave us a good laugh with the worst layup attempt in NBA history. He completely missed the rim and the backboard and threw the ball out of bounds. Check it out for yourself in the video below.

What you’re about to see is Nick Young and the Washington Wizards personified. And no matter how tempted you are to ask yourself, “how in the world this happens?” don’t.There are just no explanations when the Wizards are involved.
You hate to kick someone when they are down...but this is just too funny not to show.Washington Wizards guard Nick Young appears to have a breakaway layup two days ago versus the Lakers.However...uh...he missed the layup...by a large margin.
The Wizards are without question one of the worst teams in the NBA. Through 37 games this season, they have won back-to-back games only once. In order to have an 8-29 record, tons of things have to go wrong. After suffering a 20-point loss to the Warriors on Monday night, John Wall expressed his opinion about one of the reasons for the Wizards’ failure.
“We lost the game before...
Roger Mason led a spirited fourth-quarter comeback with nine points in the period, Kobe Bryant lost his shooting touch down the stretch, and the Washington Wizards rallied from a 21-point, third-quarter deficit Wednesday night to stun the Los Angeles Lakers 106-101.

When the final buzzer sounded last night and the Wizards secured their second surprising win of the season (the first being the win against the Thunder Jan. 18th) 106-101 over the Los Angeles Lakers I was, yet again, at a loss.
Just yesterday on this very blog I promised my readers that I would write more about the teams the Wiz were facing because my Wizards had grown too tiresome...
Half way through a tumultuous season for the Wizards, I find myself at a loss. Covering them for these past 37 games has been great; hell, I’m watching the games anyway, why not write about what I see, right? Still, a greater problem has emerged from this terrible 8-29 season: these guy’s are a pain to cover!
The Lone Mamba?
I’ve harked on how the team needs to make moves...
Kevin Seraphin is a nice young big playing for the Wizards. Here's a video breakdown of how he's doing (excuse the watermark!):
Keep on charging, Kevin Seraphin!
