For the second year in a row LeBron James has led the Miami Heat to a World Championship and Just like last year, Nike is celebrating LeBron’s second title by releasing another limited edition Championship pack. This years Championship pack comes with two pairs of shoes like last years, however unlike last years. This pack includes a low top version (LeBron X Low) of LeBron’s signature shoe, instead of two high top versions of his shoe, along with two hats. The T-shirt is sold separately. The low top version of LeBron’s shoe is the shoe that we saw leaked pics of the morning of game 6 of the NBA Finals. This pair has a graphic on the insole of both shoes. On one shoe it has “Two Time Champion” printed on it, while the other has the years of “11-12, 12-13″. This shoe has a Florida tropical print called “floral palm splatter” that flows throughout the upper of the shoe and the hat that goes with these shoes has the same print. The second shoe is the shoe that LeBron wore two or three times during the Finals against the Spurs and was the shoe he wore in last nights game 7 win. It’s the Finals version of LeBron’s playoff version of his regular signature shoe. I know….you non-sneakerheads are like “what?!” This is what’s up. Every year LeBron has a signature shoe that he wears during regular season games. However in the playoffs Nike comes out with a playoff version of his shoe which is made of different materials to make the shoe lighter and a few other key features. After playing 82 game schedule, players like much lighter shoes as they go into a grueling playoff series. This Finals version of LeBron’s shoe has an all red upper with a clear floral palm splatter print on it and black speckles on the mid-sole, gold flakes imbedded in the clear out-sole as well as that floral palm splatter print inside of the shoe. There hasn’t been a release date set on this pack nor have I heard as to how much it will cost. I will update this post with that info as soon as I get it. For fellow sneaker-heads, you remember last years championship pack that was only sold in Miami at select retailers. One of those places was LeBron’s store in Dadeland Mall, “Unknown”. Last years pack sold for $500.00 if I’m not mistaken but like most sneakers these days, the aftermarket value in them is now $6,000 plus. I was never able to get my hands on a pack and I have connections. I have a feeling I may strike out on this years Championship pack too. We’ll see. Check out the pics..Click to enlarge.
