Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal did a study of NBA players’ earnings based on which college they attended. The WSJ took every player that entered the draft since 1985 and collected the salary data. Then they assigned the earnings to each players’ college. However, the data does not include this year’s rookies.

After 14 consecutive all-star appearances, Kevin Garnett was not named to the 2012 NBA All-Star game. Boston Celtics also excluded from the roster, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. After FOUR Celtics placed as reserves in the 2011 All Star game, only one Bostonian will represent the Cs in 2012. Congrats Paul Pierce!
