Video: Nuggets mascot Tebows before shot

Oh, Tebowing, is there anything you can't inspire? The homage to Tim Tebow which swept the nation by storm earlier in this NFL season and has seen something of a resurgence with the playoffs upon us, apparently extends to mascots as well. Rocky the Mountain Lion, the Denver Nuggets' mascot, Tebowed prior to attempting a halfcourt shot on Monday night during the Nuggets-Hornets...

J.R. Smith’s Sister Reportedly Choked Woman During Fight with Chinese Fans

J.R. Smith’s sister reportedly choked a woman during a fight in the stands while she was watching her brother’s basketball game, as the picture above shows. Deadspin’s Timothy Burke says J.R. Smith’s Chinese basketball team — the Zhejiang Golden Bulls — was playing the Bayi Rockets, which is the same team that brawled with Georgetown over the summer. Apparently...

J.R. Smith’s Sister Brawls With Fans In China

J.R Smith, formerly of the Denver Nuggets and currently of a team in China, is known as a bit of a hothead.  That hothead trait apparently runs in the family as Smith’s sister began a brawl in the crowd during one of J.R’s basketball games.  Seriously, look at that photo.  That’s one heck of a chokehold. J.R. actually had to go into the stands try to calm his...

JR Smith’s Sister Goes on Rampage in China, Chokes Out Woman in Stands During Game

I wouldn’t have believed it except that I expect this type of thing from a member of JR Smith’s family. Mini Precious went on a rampage after disagreeing with a foul call against her brother. Here are the details. Former Nuggets guard JR Smith is currently playing in China for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, having been unable to escape his Chinese Basketball Association contract...

NBA: New Jersey Nets Move Can't Come Too Soon

For years the New Jersey Nets had been playing their home games way off in the swamps of East Rutherford at the Izod Center. The team had been struggling on the court for a while and fans were becoming less and less willing to take the trip out there to see a team lose. The team’s property search landed them at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for a couple of seasons...

Farmar Plays Well But Nets Keep Slipping, Lose 123-115

The New Jersey Nets’ horrid season is continuing and not in a great fashion even by putting up a valiant effort against the Denver Nuggets. The Nets gathered another loss as Denver defeated New Jersey 123-115. Good Jordan Farmar played a considerably great amount of time against Denver Wednesday. Farmar scored a season-high 26 points coming off the bench. Deron Williams posted...

For Nuggets — it’s a Bird, it’s a Chris

Prior to Wednesday’s win against the Nets, Nuggets coach George Karl discussed why Chris “The Birdman” Andersen hadn’t played much of late. “When he’s on the court right now, we’re getting hammered a little bit,” Karl said of the backup center. “It’s not all his fault, but he’s been on the court five, six minutes where we go down eight, nine points. And I bail...

Today in strange J.R. Smith news from China: J.R.’s sister gets in a brawl

Well, this is not good. Via Eye on Basketball (with a hat tip to Deadspin and Chinese media outlets): This time, it wasn’t Smith who did something, but his sister. According to reports, after Smith was fouled, his sister threw a bottle onto the court. And then freaked out, choking a woman and shoving an 80-year-old.…

J.R. Smith’s sister reportedly brawls in stands at Chinese game

J.R. Smith is a human reality show – and check out the latest episode. According to Chinese reports, Smith’s sister threw a bottle on the court after a Smith foul in a game (the former Nugget, of course, is playing in China this season). Something happened and, next thing you know, she was choking an older female fan. According to CBSSports.com, which picked up the story from...
